The animated "The King & I" from 1999.
It is not a flawless masterpiece, but I never understood why everyone hates it.

It had a unique dreamlike feel to it. I think a lot of people just couldn't, or weren't inclined, to get their arms around the thought experiment.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Sucker Punch. It's a decent movie, but it was hated at the time of release. I think it's developed a cult following since then, but it never deserved the hate it got.
