Is it rude to feed someone "weed laced" brownies without their consent in your opinion?

Basically awhile ago, my cousin told me an instance where he fed his friends a bit (obviously not an insane dosage, but still) of "weed brownies" without their knowing. They aren't weed smokers at all, so it's not like your every day prank. Even though weed is harmless, would you consider this rude, in a way? Or basically a harmless joke since weed itself doesn't necessarily cause any harm?

I have my own opinion, but just curious to see what others might think (and if you're curious what I think, I think it's a tiny bit fucked up, considering they may or may not have had their own moral beliefs towards the plant, but worse things can definitely be done).

Not cool.

It's at least as wrong as posting totally made up stories on Moviechat

Likely a troll.

Luckily most of us walk the line

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to drug folk without their consent.

reply

Definitely a fucked up thing to do.

Wrong, illegal and reprehensible. If someone did that to me, I'd have 'em arrested AND sue the pants off them.

FACT: Getting people to take any substance without their knowledge is the epitome of pure evil. Prove me wrong.

It happened to me once. It was a prank played on me by my younger brother when we worked for the same employer during much younger days. He offered me an Alice B. Toklas brownie (that's what they're known as) during my afternoon coffee break. I thought " hell ya, a nice, dark, chocolate brownie would be perfect with a cup of Butternut coffee." I recognized the high when it began to take hold but I couldn't understand why I was experiencing it. My brother and I were well experienced with weed. The jig was up when he saw my confused reaction and the telltale grin spread across his face. There was nothing debilitating about the high. I was just a bit goofy, relaxed and happier on the job for the remainder of the day. My brother and I routinely pranked each other. He was mischievous but definitely not evil. There are way too many other situations in our world where your hyperbolic claim would more aptly apply.

If I were on a jury in a murder trial where someone killed the person who gave them drugs unknowingly I would vote not guilty.

It’s not only wrong and downright reprehensible for all the reasons mentioned above… but Heaven forbid the person that was the victim of this prank has a job that requires routine drug screening.

What a hoot that would be when your “friend’s” career and life is ruined by your little “prank.”

Or what if he gets pulled over driving home, not realizing he’s been impared.

No… nothing even remotely funny about this at all.

reply

It’s not a good idea. Worst of all, lots of weed these days is potent and it’s easy to put way too much into an edible, especially for someone who’s not used to it.
