Which is your favorite movie of all time?
Charade (1963)

shareI mean this completely without snark or anything like that. I just want to know how people can pick just one movie? I have a difficult time picking a top ten, and those will change constantly. I have movies that I've watched so many times I have them memorized, but I still don't know if I can call them a favourite. š„
shareI know just what you mean sslssg. In fact, even a top 10 list is a chore and top 20 would be easier. š
shareTo me, it's almost like asking which of your children is your favorite. Just can't do it!
Top 10 is impossible for me. Top 20 may be doable.
When this question is asked, I just go with the movie I have seen the most and for me that is by far, The Blues Brothers.
shareI think for me that would be a toss up between The Lost Boys, Heathers, The Little Mermaid or The Princess Bride, but I cannot commit to any of those being my favourite. Hahaha

I would insist on a per-genre basis ....
also .. Two Hands! (1999) great crime film
Persuasion (2007)
A made for television movie based on the Jane Austen book of the same name.

This is low res but it's worth watching the first few minutes to appreciate the look of the film and the music. Also note the "human inkwell" that had Period Drama purists foaming at the mouth !
I love that film! I like the earlier one with Ciaran Hinds too. I thought the casting of Anneās vain father and sister was perfect in this one.
shareYes Anthony Head ( Giles from Buffy ) was wonderful as the vain, stupid, selfish and deeply unpleasant Sir Walter Elliot. And his oldest daughter Elizabeth was just like him. Poor Anne Elliot was openly disliked by her father and treated like one of the servants by Elizabeth. You felt that Anne ( who was much more intelligent than her father or either of her sisters and was a much nicer person as well ) sorely missed her mother who had been the brains of the outfit and who Anne was probably like.
I like the 1995 Persuasion but I love the 2007 version.
Thereās a very obvious filming goof in this one. Not sure if you want to know about it because now I know it is there, I cannot ignore it and it breaks the moment. Up to youā¦
On the walk to Winthrop, as the camera focuses on Anne overhearing Frederick and Louisa's conversation, a crew member with a red jacket is seen in the background (at around 38 mins) behind her.
