How are people so positive about life?

It is a constant hassle, everything is a pain in the ass, people are fucking awful. The enjoyment is few and far between, and the rest of the time it is a headache and a struggle. And I have it pretty good, I can only imagine what some people go through.

I see people all the time who are so upbeat and have a positive outlook, I just don’t get it. Life is not that pleasant.

reply

Yeah, I hate happy people.

reply

... what? ....

What about Shiny Happy People?

reply

Stop it.

reply

Oh c'mon, who doesn't like this?!?😃

reply

Get off of my lawn

reply

Nah, come out and dance with me😛!

reply

When I wake up I can’t wait for my feet to hit the floor. The suns coming up - I hurry up and get ready and go outside and water the garden or feed animals (the way the morning smells is great) Next jump in the truck and listen to some good music on the way to work. I get there a little early and arrange my tools ........

Do you see what I’m getting at? It’s all the little things that make up a day that should be enjoyed.

reply

Your reality ain't my reality. I'm glad you have a routine you enjoy, but who knows what the rest of us are dealing with.

reply

I know because I have things I deal with but there are small things every day that we can enjoy.

reply

Sorry, didn't mean to bum your high (antiquated term, I realize). My apologies.

reply

None needed. All is good.

reply

Don't be so negative. It accomplishes nothing but I'm not surprised that someone as hateful as you is so negative. Pretty sure you have no joy in your life.

reply

I guess what you do with the tools for the subsequent 8 hours might have an impact too,
apart from the little things..

reply

I worked in the engineering field for many years and was becoming miserable sitting at a desk all day so I made a decision to move on and try something else with more freedom. Now I do mechanic work on autos. I made a lifestyle decision with my family and my happiness in mind.

reply

Good on ya! i did a couple years Mechanic apprenticeship then went to do Engineering at college , got a high qualification , couldnt get a job in it , fell into I.T , got nowhere in I.T. for 20 years - its taking off a bit now though :)
Been hobbying the Mechanics since '92 !
Interest slightly waning but now ive got all the tools a fair bit of skills and big dry space how can i stop :)

reply

Agreed - it's all about perspective.

reply

You haven't gotten it yet. Yes all those things are true. But you have to enjoy the small stuff.

Do you enjoy anything? Have any hobbies?

Stop worrying about things and create your own little world where you know in the end, everything will be ok.

reply

I do have hobbies and plenty of stuff I enjoy, but I spend most of the time wading through the bullshit. I get to spend very little time doing what I enjoy.

reply

Why? Too much work?

In reality we even shouldn't even care about politics or worldly matters.

We have a short time and it should be used more wisely.

Go make money, party at your local bar, create a side hustle, raise a family, go on adventures.

And just a little bit of medical marijuana while.doing this will help tremendously.

Have fun with it

reply

All of this should get its own chapter in the bible.

reply

Except for the drug part.

reply

In the bible it actually says all man shall use herbs and vegetation provide by god. I’m paraphrasing but you get the gist of it.

reply

But only the kosher ones.

reply

How is weed evil? Native Americans smoked weed all the time.

reply

The Bible also warns of intoxication. He created us to be clear headed.

reply

Someone didn't get invited to the parties

reply

Oh trust me, I got invited to ALL the parties.

reply

No, it's not fair. Some people are born with more cheerful personality. You can't choose how you're born. Some people are born without arms or legs. Some are born without sight. I have terrible sight myself, so I have to wear glasses all the time, which made me lose opportunity for some things I might enjoy that other people can do effortlessly.

Some people born with lower ability to feel sadness, so they'll be happy all the time. Some other are born with lower ability to feel happiness, so they be depressed all the time. It is what it is.

Maybe you're born like this. So this is how you would feel. Genetics ain't fair. But it's nobody's fault either.

People that say just be happy or just dance or whatever don't know what they're talking about. It's like saying just look more clearly to people who wear glasses. Or just walk faster to people who are limp. It makes no sense.

reply

i don't like the alternative.

reply

Drowning in misery until you just kill yourself definitely isn’t a good option.

reply

Exactly.
Good grief MovieBuff224, just play some effin' music and dance! Get the blood flowing! You'll feel much better.

For me, I suppose it’s just a defense mechanism. I’m pretty chipper for such a miserable bastard. Having a sense of humor helps. You roll with the punches or you get knocked the fuck out.

reply

ENJOY IT OR END IT...THOSE ARE THE CHOICES.

reply

It's not that binary, cut and dry. You're subtly proposing the third choice you always do, escapism.

reply

NO...YOU ARE ALIVE....YOU EITHER MAKE THE BEST OF THINGS OR YOU SUFFER.ANYONE WHO CHOOSES SUFFERING,DOESNT GET THE CHOICE THEY MADE.

reply

Again, too binary of a comparison. Sometimes, making "the best of things" calls for simple endurance, which can be accompanied with suffering. Who in their right mind, apart from a masochist, would choose suffering?

reply

DONT YOU MY DINNER WITH ANDRE ME,DUDE!...I WONT HAVE IT...I ORDERED RIBS AND I PLAN ON CHEWING😡

reply

Ok, deflect and don't upchuck.

reply

BIG WORDS AND CONTRARY THEORIES...YOU SIR,ARE A REAL A N D R E...🤓

reply

Deflect and upchuck are big words? Ok, if you say so.

reply

SEE?I WAS OBVIOUSLY REFERRING TO YOUR PREVIOUS COMMENTS...THATS THE CONTRARY THING.

reply

W3rD!
