How are people so positive about life?

It is a constant hassle, everything is a pain in the ass, people are fucking awful. The enjoyment is few and far between, and the rest of the time it is a headache and a struggle. And I have it pretty good, I can only imagine what some people go through.

I see people all the time who are so upbeat and have a positive outlook, I just don’t get it. Life is not that pleasant.

The things I focus on to stay positive are as follows:
Never listen to that freakshow Aerosmith
Beer
Sex (pvs$y)
Cannabis
And last but not least "travel"
Helps me forget all the other bs.

reply

Yeah sex, how do you get that other than from average-ugly chicks? I’m a decent looking guy and I have the damnedest time getting laid. I can spark the initial attraction but they usually flake.

Really? You don't know? If they're less than attractive, or even ugly, if your still into them, you show them your "junk". Try to get them somewhere sorta private though before trying. If they're attractive or beautiful, you either tell them straight out if you think they may not mind it's big. Play " show and tell".

reply

I shall fight you on the beaches
I shall fight you on the airfields

Aerosmith is awesome😃!

reply

I was placed on Ignore for less than that, lol.

reply

Wont be my first ignore list Amigo and I'm quite content to be on all of them😃

Sheesh!
Bin Laden was shot, we all cheered

Steven Tyler deserves to be shot?

Get A Grip😃

reply

I fund it easier listening to people's bowel movements than listening to those worthless losers. They're an all around embarrassment to America and the entire human race.

reply

Gotcha...you really dislike Aerosmith

You sure do bring them up all the time though, put on another disc, Just Push Play:)

reply

I'm almost reluctant to listen to the radio now because they seem to play so much of they're stuff.

reply

Back in the Saddle Again and Train Kept' a Rollin' are two excellent songs by Aerosmith (before they descended into their tortuous pop phase).

As soon as I heard Jamies Got a Gun, I knew that it was all over.

reply

Still haven't tried therapy, huh, Buff?

You are chronically unhappy. Maybe the problem is YOU.

reply

I have, seems to be a dead end road. I need to find my purpose then maybe all of this won’t matter.

reply

Here's a little food for thought. Would you rather take your next breath, or not? If yes, that's every reason to assume an attitude of positivity, joy and gratitude. It's really that simple.

Mental illness is an issue of it's own, which I wasn't referring to.

reply

Posters are talking about medication and therapy..so I wasn't sure. I deleted my reply in that case.

reply

S'all good. :)

I believe it was Carlin who said "Life is not that complicated. You wake up, go to work, come home, take 2 good shits and go back to bed. What's the mystery?"

reply

*one good shit I believe it was

reply

Probably right.. it's been a while.

Most positive people I know don’t think too deeply. They are completely wrapped up in their day to day lives and don’t seem to be well informed. They tend to brush the negative stuff under the rug a lot.

reply

Medication 😉

reply

Because most people have a better way of handling their emotions.

reply

My recommendation to you is to think of others more than yourself. Introspection is misery. Every day, look for some way that you can make something better for someone else. Do things for other people. Especially if you can do them anonymously. Focus on blessing others.

What we water grows. Stop watering your own dissatisfaction.

It also helps to ignore politics. Politically focused people are unhappy people.

reply

I like this. Makes sense.

reply

i agree about the politics.
