do you consider yourself well educated
or well read and cultured?
shareI is very well read and edumacated! lol But seriously, I have read a lot of books in my life, a lot of classics. But still, I regret that I have missed a lot of the classics. They are on my bucket list. But I've been working long hours and I fall asleep before I can read more than a chapter.
It's not bragging because I know I received a very solid background in grammar and spelling when I was in school. When I read some of my co-workers notes at work, I am appalled at their grammatical errors and just plain awful spelling!
I think I am living in a culture of illiterates.
I know a tremendous amount of info on music, movies and assholes
sharenot at all, though i'd guess that i've probably read more than average, perhaps more than most, & there are a few topics where i've done a good amount of reading & know more than most. though i'm far from an expert in any of those fields - accounting, economics & ants are probably the areas where i know the most. & certainly there are many areas where i'm utterly ignorant & know absolutely nothing.
i'm certainly not cultured at all. i know nothing about art or literature, & find those topics absolutely uninteresting for the most part.
I’ve read 20th century history like an addict for years. American presidents, wwii pacific theater, Cold War, Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba and African nations are my favorites.
I have trouble doing math without a calculator, hate economics and would certainly be the first one out of a spelling bee.
All three. I'm a college graduate, read a lot and play musical instruments.
shareSomeone once told me that I have more degrees than a thermometer.
shareEven though I'm technically well-educated and have degrees, no. I think university is not all it's cracked up to be - but I enjoyed it, which is why I stayed. I am medium-level read and cultured, I'd say.
