Diversity only works when the culture and ethnic group of the parent country is allowed to be dominant in society, set the rules, and everyone moving in is willing to assimilate and respect the rules/customs of their new home. There's nothing wrong with loving the country and culture you come from, as well as maintaining a few cultural things from there within your home or community. But usually it's a sign of respect to learn the language, the customs, and laws of your new home country, follow the rules, and don't become a drag on the new society you moved into.
As soon as you have groups of people moving in who don't respect the culture of the country they're moving into, and basically acting like colonizers and causing trouble, as well as demonizing the parent country and trying to change everything to suit them, that's when you start having problems.
