Too masculine?

https://youtu.be/Yx-L9SxKxPM?si=OTeE9oYiXjQZ_Bc2

I mean, we can't be having real men acting normally, can we? Especially not with the kind of lyrics that encourage fathers and son to be the best. I guess the diversity of the ad cancels it out a bit. Phew!

reply

6k subs vs. 5.8M views? FAKE!! FAKE FAKE FAKE!!

All I heard in the song was "Please please pretty please buy our razors again, pleeeeaaaaseee with sugar on top!!!" 🀣

reply

It doesn't help the singer sounds like a whiny bitch. They should've used the John Parr version.

reply

They should have kept their mouth shut and sold razors.

reply

True dat.

reply

I wonder why they didn't open that up for comments?

Hey Gillette, not one red cent!

reply

It seems companies hardly allow comments anymore. No place to leave complaints either.

reply

Imagine being so lame as to want to leave complaints about shaving adverts

reply

You clearly don't know the backstory here, so it would be best for you to jog on.

reply

Not as lame as you complaining about every single comment on this site that even mentions the word woke.πŸ†

reply

Lmao, this has to be the most pathetic whiny thread I've seen on here in some time. What's not normal here exactly? "How dare people be presented as cheerful". It's a cheesy advert about shaving. There's plenty of songs like this around. What are the ultra-masculine songs you listen to OP?

reply

The issue is that Gillette put out an online ad a couple years ago in which they flat out accused all men - you know, their entire customer base - of being troglodytes who need to repent for the sin of being born male. So it's rich that they're now trying to promote traditional manhood.

Try to keep up.

reply

OP didn't reference that. And sorry I'm not up to date with my Gilette advertising lore. I never see adverts for any of them to live rent-free in my head.

reply

Only an ignorant trollboy like you doesn't get the reference. Go play with your wiener, D-feet.

reply

Is this where you baselessly accuse me of being another user again?

reply

No, it's where you deny who you really are, even though we both know it.

reply

No, we don't. I know of no such thing and am not bound by your paranoid fantasy where every single liberal/progressive is apparently someone standing on the shoulders of another person in a trenchcoat.

reply

[deleted]

You constantly make the mistake of assuming that D-Feet is/was another user when I never even said that.

reply

I have no idea what 'd-feet' is then.

reply

No, of course not...

reply

No, I don't. Why the fuck would I?

reply

Exactly my point, so no reason to assume it's another user...

Now since you apparently have no issue with companies not allowing comments or complaints, I politely ask you to shut the fuck up and go away. Have a nice day downunder.πŸ†

reply

I'll do whatever the fuck I like. I don't care what you want.

reply

And people will not stop complaining about woke, because literally nobody in this world cares about what you want. It's pathetic you still don't realize that.

You have to look for attention somewhere else now. Bye bye.πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†

reply

I didn't tell anyone to "stop compllaining about woke".

I don't make you reply. You choose to reply.

reply

"OP didn't reference that. And sorry I'm not up to date with my Gilette advertising lore."

Then you probably shouldn't have run off at the mouth since you had no idea what was being discussed.

reply

Oh, you told me! Imagine that. Imagine people doing that online. Not like anyone makes shit up on this here site, is it?

reply

Stop digging fuckwit. You swanned in here with your tired gaslighting routine with no idea of the context and made a total prick of yourself πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

reply

The weird thing about that new ad is it felt weirdly cheery. Like nothing rough or tough about it. I think Gillette caved and removed their toxic masculinity add from a few years back but plenty of news outlets talked about it.

Eh, I thought it wasn't that bad. Always gotta nitpick, save that for movies/tv shows.

reply

" we can't be having real men acting normally, can we? "

Are you saying those are real men in that advert??

reply

Are you saying they are not??

reply

well ,they arnt lgbt , but they looked a bit like effeminate whiny snowflakes compared to the original gillette ads

reply

"but they looked a bit like effeminate whiny snowflakes compared to the original gillette ads"

That is absolutely true.
