The show is an abomination.
All of these late 90s-Early 00s shows are all based on the "Idiot Dad Trope" and it has ruined American Society.
What was supposed to be comedy, was allowed to bleed too much into the real world and look where we are at. Men are completely emasculated, weak, and we have fallen into hard times because of it.
This sort of whine is literally just the mirror image of progressive whining about "everything is political".
The new woke right.
I've never heard a progressive whine that "everything in political". Everything is political precisely because the progressives have captured all the institutions of the West. Why would they complain about the fact that their ideology is the New Religion for our times?

Then you need to watch more media and media criticism. You've already admitted to me that you have almost no exposure to modern media. It was very much the argument of people like Feminist Frequency, for instance.
"But...but...Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows Best!" Never mind that those arguments conveniently leave out that even bigger shows, like The Honeymooners went all-in on the "men be stupid, need woman help out...hur, hur" narrative. And in the last few decades that message has been amped up to 11 on the cultural meter. But hey, what's a little subversive misandry among (((friends)))?

Plenty of whiny characters living boring middle-class lives so I normally switched channels.
