Nope, that guy's name was Tony. In the movie, it was. I forget what his name was in the book. The guy she was married to at the end of the movie was David.
This is from the book, so if you haven't read it, and want to be spoiled, go right ahead. If not, then I don't recommend reading this if you plan on reading the book someday.
Joan did choke Christina, and they did get into a big fight because Joan lied and said Christina was expelled from school, when she wasn't.
Christopher was tied to the bed because he had a tendency to keep getting up at night.
Joan did beat Christina in their swim races, and Christina did complain that it wasn't fair, but Joan didn't spank her for yelling about it.
The haircut scene in the movie didn't happen.
Joan didn't have a boyfriend who helped her adopt. It was friends.
Christina loved Mrs. Chadwick, and her husband, and stayed with them. Joan didn't like that Christina was happy with them, and forbid her from ever contacting them again once she took Christina out of school.
The whole thing with Christina making out with a boy in the barn did happen, but a girl didn't catch them. He found out she was underage, and so they stopped what they were doing.
Joan did cut down all the roses bushes, but not because she was upset she was fired from Metro. It was one of her night raids.
Joan did freak out about the wire hangers, but she didn't beat Christina with them. She hit her in the hears, but didn't use the wire hangers.
Joan adopted two twins girls named Cindy and Cathy.
There's LOTS more, but that's all I felt like typing.
I haven't seen all of her movies, only a few, but these are three of my favorites of hers so far.
What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
Autumn Leaves
Strait-Jacket
I've also seen Sudden Fear and Berserk. Didn't care for Berserk, even though her acting was fine in it. I just didn't like the movie. Sudden Fear started out good, but then went downhill for me. There's more I have to see.
LOL, thank you!
LOL
Yes! Thank you! It always bothered me when shows would blame one character when it was more than one person at fault.
Yeah, dreams are strange indeed. I once had a funny one when I was younger, that I was trick or treating, and Michael Myers was coming after me. I got away by hiding in the women's restroom of a gas station or grocery store, I can't remember. Since Michael wasn't allowed in the girls' room, he left me alone. LOL.
Well, Fred and Ricky I think were going to work on something, and they overhear the neighbors through the furnace, I think.
As far as tying that woman in the closet, that bitch had it coming. She was nasty to Lucy!
You're right, it doesn't :) What I didn't like about The Publicity Agent is the way Ricky got back at Lucy and Ethel. That was just mean spirited. Lucy Plays Cupid, Ricky had no right to tell Lucy she couldn't give the letter to that guy, and then he spanked her! The other two, just didn't really tickle the funny bone.
