I figure it started when someone turned on too much hot water!
🙏 for you. This site isn't the same when you aren't posting here. Hang in there and hope you continue to post while you can!
While I'm at it trashing professional sports...I haven't watched the NBA in years but this trade sure makes me think I'm not missing anything. Is this a trade made to get LeBrick another NBA title before he finally retires? That idiot has pretty much singlehandedly made the NBA unwatchable over the years.
This is for KOWALSKI:
Michael Jordan > Kobe Bryant
Isiah Thomas > John Stockton
😃
We do think a lot alike...must be why I like you so much! 😃
PS: Hope you are feeling better!
If this song and commercial didn't bring us world peace, then I doubt it'll ever happen:

I used to host a Super Bowl party and watch the Super Bowl all the time. However, I stopped watching them during the Patriots years (Because those games were obviously controlled...I don't like to use the word "fixed," because it's not on a play-by-play basis, but they're definitely "controlled"...same goes for the NBA, MLB, college football, and college basketball). But the NFL doesn't even try to hide it anymore...this Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce pairing is straight out of the pro wrestling playbook. The questionable calls that somehow always manage to go Kansas City's way...I don't miss watching the NFL one bit anymore.

Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is my favorite.
I like the story about Dennis Hopper when he was filming the movie "Hoosiers" and he was getting ready to film the scene where his character (Shooter) drunkenly walks onto the court during one of the tournament games. Hopper supposedly asked for a 10- second notice before "action." When he got it, he started spinning around in circles really quickly and then filmed the scene. I love little "tricks of the trade" things like that!

I am much more of a "music lover" than I am a "movie lover," but the movies I love...I really love. ❤️❤️❤️ "The Legend Of Bagger Vance," "Crossroads," "O Brother! Where Art Thou?" "Rocky," "Psycho," " Back To The Future," "Bull Durham," et.al. They move my soul and I'll re-watch them every chance I get. I have admittedly weird tastes when it comes to movies... I'm pretty persnickety as to what I'll watch/won't watch.
So hard to narrow it down to 5...I can't do it:
1) Buddy Holly
2) Jimi Hendrix
3) Duane Allman
4) Jim Croce/Murray Muehleisen
5) Elvis Presley
6) Karen Carpenter
7) John Denver
8) Michael Hedges
9) Philippé "Soul Walker" Wynne (lead singer of The Spinners)
10) Kurt Cobain
Hmmm... thinking of musicians still alive and performing today, plus in relationship to the male Wilburys:
1) George Harrison - Bonnie Raitt (both great slide guitar players)
2) Roy Orbison - Alison Krauss (voices of angels)
3) Tom Petty - Aimee Mann (both tall and blonde! 😃 Both great singer-songwriters)
4) Bob Dylan - Carole King (both great songwriters)
5) Jeff Lynne - Tracy Chapman (not a lot of similarities, but Tracy Chapman needs to be included... great voice and songwriter)
Awesome! I do love The Eagles and how kind of you to reference that. "Wasted Time" is definitely one of Don Henley's finest moments (and he has a bunch of them, both solo and with The Eagles). I've always wondered if he had someone specific in mind when he sang it.
And agreed again about Karen Carpenter. Just one of the saddest stories of our lifetimes. She's probably my favorite overall singer, male or female...what a voice she had.
Yes...he always downplayed his MLB career, but I believe that, of his 14 career HRs, he hit 2 of them off great Hall Of Fame pitchers (both lefties...like me! 😃): Warren Spahn and Sandy Koufax.
One of his many great quips was regarding his HR off Koufax... something along the lines of, "It almost kept him (Koufax) out of the Hall Of Fame!" 😃
My oldest sister saw Ronnie Milsap in concert back in the day and said he was fabulous. He walked right up to the edge of the stage and, right when it looked like he was going to fall off it, stopped and said, "You thought I was going to fall off the stage, didn't you?" 😃
Great musician...glad he's still with us. Hard to believe he's 82 years old now!
When I was younger and hornier, there were two that really did it for me:
1) "Wicked Game" - Chris Isaak (especially watching the video...it was pretty risque back in the day) https://youtu.be/jd-qI62gNJM?si=ZS3juBwf1gfZqJVf
2) "Sadness (Part I)" - Enigma https://youtu.be/4F9DxYhqmKw?si=CK-crwNv7T9TX7Yz
Yes...it was especially big during my college years. Loved "Head Detective" and just about everything Jim Carrey was in.
But the guy who deserves the biggest mention of all was the great blues singer Calhoun Tubbs! 😃

I love The Eagles and "Wasted Time" is such a great song...part of the masterpiece that is "Hotel California." ❤️
Did you ever watch the TV show "Cold Case?" With your love and knowledge of music, I have a feeling you'd like it if you haven't watched it (although it was a pretty depressing/sad show at times). Anyway, my wife and I watched this show together when we were first married...a couple of the sad endings really got to us:
1) "Catch The Wind" - Donovan https://youtu.be/_TrgdWKvCTg?si=lNcl6ZqPJiZL9KW2
2) "Somewhere Over The Rainbow/"What A Wonderful World" - Israel Kamakawiwoʻole https://youtu.be/HufzvFSeS9A?si=COMhkI7Nu_j7pss0
Also, I could pick several songs by Karen Carpenter, but I'll choose this one ("Solitaire"). Such a massively talented lady, but it seems like she was so unhappy in her personal life, unfortunately. I love this song...this one brought some tears to my eyes around 20-25 years ago:

Hard to beat "El Paso" by the late, great Marty Robbins or "Hey, Joe" by the late, great Jimi Hendrix. Both of these definitely deserve a mention.
An underrated gem with "Murder" in the title: "A Murder Of One" by Counting Crows.
