I like penne as well. For longer "spaghetti" type noodles I like bucatini.

Penne and bucatini both seem to soak in the sauce better than angel hair or regular spaghetti, but to me it's more about preparing the soffritto so it's robust with flavors.

I DID NOT EVEN KNOW SOFFRITTO WAS A THING!......I GOOGLED THE FUCK OUT OF IT.....WOW.....I HAVE SUCH SMART FRIENDS....LOOKING FORWARD TO REMEMBERING THIS IN THE FUTURE WHEN I MAY MAKE PASTA.

I love pasta. Angel hair and linguine are my favorite pastas and I like both red sauces and alfredo, though I'm more likely to eat a tomato-based sauce because it's healthier. Although then I cover it with cheese.

I was watching videos today on how to make pasta dough. It's really easy, so I think i'll try it. I did try once before, but i had no eggs so i just used water ... wouldn't recommend it.

I'm going to try a raviolli type.

This post inspired me to try again. Dough turned out perfectly .... it tasted awful! Not sure if I undercooked it or not salted enough... but yeah, it went in the bin 🤢

I'll stick to shop bought.

Top three for me would be penne alla vodka, baked ziti and fettuccini Alfredo. I love pasta!

Oh, eta: chicken flavored Ramen noodles are super cheap and tasty although it’s got a hell of a lot of salt.

So like a marinara sauce or tomato based sauce? I mean I could make you a number of pepper sauces that would be red, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like them.

Cream sauces can be really good. I mean a yellow sauce could be a cheese type of sauce. I don't know what you mean by brown sauce other than maybe gravy?

😲THAT'S A LOT OF SAUCES.....marinara sauce or tomato based sauce?....DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE....LMAO....ALSO NEVER HAD A PEPPER SAUCE...BUT IT SOUNDS OK.....MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN THE SAUCES I LIKE ARE REDDISH IN COLOR.

Well from what I understand, and I'm no expert, but Marinara sauce is a tomato sauce, but not all tomato sauces are marinara sauce.
