Spending hundred of billions if not trillions on unpaid "stimulus" while trying to fight off inflation. Yeah, thats a fantastic idea. "1. There is no "gun show loophole". Period. There is simply no requirement for a person to go through a background check to sell their personal property to another. Most sellers at gun shows are licensed dealers." THIS, THIS RIGHT HERE! If you are a license dealer you are still required to follow the federal and states laws! If you are not, and most are at these shows, you are then a private seller and the laws do not cover that, but it has nothing to do with gun shows. You keep spewing nonsense about other nations this and that, but don't want the same strict laws they have, which mean total or close to it gun bans? Child please. I've already said I'm in favor of stronger punishments for those who don't properly lockup their guns, especially with kids and teenagers around. I do thank you for posting that info on Texas. In your quote it totally disproves any gun show loophole. How you didn't understand that is baffling to say the least. You're the one who pushed myths about some fake gun show loophole. You're the one who brought up hand guns being banned in other nations. You're the one who is going extreme here. Now, if I'm reading all of that wrong, I'm sorry, but it clearly comes off as you want to go to the extreme route. The difference is that we are just under 2 and a half years until the next Presidential election. There is a chance things get better and that he wins reelection, or Democrats get a different candidate in. It is still way too far out. Dumb yes, but that wasn't the point. In the example above they had a major natural disaster crush them financially, so credit cards were the only way out. Everything else like cost of food and gas rising is only making it worse. Debt is bad, but in this case it is necessary. Driving less isn't always an option. Some people have to drive 30 to 60 minutes or more to work. That adds up quickly. I grew up in a household that had debt crush them because of no fault of their own. The result of medical issues and the loss of a job. It can quickly crush your hopes of living in no debt. As an adult I have a couple credit cards, but I pay them in full every week and get the rewards money. As of yet nothing has set me back and pushed me into debt. Thank God! It's a myth because all federal and state gun selling laws still apply. You, and others might be thinking of the exemption private owners to sell to each other in the same state. This has nothing to do with gun shows. We get it, the only way to end our gun violence issue is with banning all guns. However, our gun culture is unmatched in every other nation. What works for some doesn't work for everyone. Clearly so in this case. We need guns for hunting at a bare minimum. And please do not say we don't need to hunt, that will end the conversation. I agree with 6 and 7. As for 1, there is no such thing as a gun show loophole. Its a myth. 2, this is probably one I'd add to the agree side, but I'd like to add some exemptions. 3, this doesn't really matter to be honest. I'm somewhat confused on 5. Those two are some of your most basic guns. Restricting these types of guns is the most ludicrous idea ever. We aren't other countries, now are we? We also have wide open free speech rights that other first world nations do not. Are we going to change that as well because people get offended? Americans have a right to own guns. Its that simple. Our Supreme Court has already made that clear over and over again. Not to mention only a small group of Democrats even want strict laws like this because even they know its insane. States with stricter laws do not have fewer gun deaths. That is a myth or just nitpicked data. You're delusional. Because this recent shooting involved someone younger than 21 its now sexy to not allow 18-20 year olds to buy a gun. Though I don't believe the bill outlaws 18-20 year olds to go to a range and practice. At this point no reform will help in my opinion. Not even arming teachers. That could start a whole new problem actually. In all actuality what we need to do is increase the punishment on parents and guardians who do not lock up their guns and then they're used in one of these shootings. At this point either way these stories need to be taken with a grain of salt. After all the lies in the Whitmer case its hard to trust these stories. It seems if you live around major cities that charging stations are popping up all over the place so home charging isn't needed. However, home charging is far more convenient, but as you pointed out impossible for most Americans because of how much it will end up costing. Granholm has always been a deeply partisan hack. No shock she would laugh off a question about current gas prices to promote electric vehicles. Which is amazing for the record. While the average American struggles to pay their bills and pay for the rising food cost, she actually think its reasonable to those same people to get deeper into debt for an EV. Talk about smug wealthy people. Yep, we have that here in the Pittsburgh, PA area at two of the grocery store chains Shop n' Save and Giant Eagle. While its a nice program, their prices are so off the wall insane that is makes their gas rewards program useless. And their prices were extremely way before all this covid stuff happened. At Sams its only 45 dollars a yearly membership and Costco is 60. Then you save tons on gas. People are better off doing that. Glad I have a Sam's Club membership. 30 cents cheaper than everywhere else. Costco does the same thing. I'm also worried about those diesel prices. They are insane right now. This will only drive up prices even more at the stores. We are months away until this pressure starts to roll back, but by that point the damage will already be done. Cheap is the key word there. I believe it's Kia who offers a cheap EV option right now in that price range. However, Kia Hyundai is dealing with fire problems with their cars. You'd have to be a fool to buy one of their cars right now. A reliable EV is going to cost closer to 30 grand, and if you want an SUV like most Americans have recently been crying for you're going to be inching closer to 40 grand. I'm starting to think you're the resident troll here. Have a good one. I agree. Only allow Americans to own hand guns and shotguns. Because we've never had a mass shooting with those before......oh wait minute 🤷‍♂️ Allowing China to get away with what they do is bowing to them. Biden and the Democrats, Republicans too for that matter, always ignore the disgusting things their government does to their people. But who cares right, because we get cheap goods from their sweatshops. None of his three steps prevents a mass shooting or any shooting whatsoever.
