Unconcerned by what others may think, I, a 72 year old man, have always loved this movie. The chemistry between Mr. Wilson, played by the wonderful Walter Matthau, and Dennis is the rock upon which this film rests.
Christopher Lloyd's turn as Switchblade Sam is at times very scary, and at other times, very incompetent at his trade. And that is the comedy of this movie, besides the incredible situations Dennis puts Mr Wilson in, although without malice or anger.
But, there is one sequence in this film that soars above all else.
The heart touching, tear inducing scene when Mrs. Wilson reads "Winkin' Blinkin and Nod" to Dennis and you see how he is connected to his parents through the passages in the poem. Beautiful moment.

Wesley would have made a GREAT T'Challa!
It's both. It's a superhero film dealing with a person who was the unfortunate byproduct of a vampire's attack on his mother. He was then endowed with superhuman abilities.
I agree with you. Racial diversity back in those days was gradually progressing at a good rate. There were many great black actors that almost seem to be ignored today by racists with divisive agendas.
Sidney Poitier comes to mind. He was a GREAT actor. He made it look effortless and believable.
Marvel comics as another example was very diverse back when I was a kid. There were several black superheroes.
It feels like people with divisive agendas are trying to make us ignore all the good that has come before for their own ideas.
Naw...remake as a porno. The plot - alien life form infiltrates an all female secluded research outpost and slowly mind controls all the team into having lezzie sex.
The cast - Abigail Mac, Cherie Deville, Janine Lindemulder, Aaliyah Love and Nina Hartley.
Nostalgia is learned. Someone such as myself and other boomers will fondly remember items from their childhood and youth.
LOL!
Bum Dum Ching!
I agree. They caught the spirit of the comics!
Yes they are. My favorite movie comedy will ALWAYS be "Young Frankenstein".
LOL!
It's simple ... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You may not think she is attractive, but then again, I'd venture to say that there are some people who would look at you and not be impressed. Same goes for me, and everyone else in the world.
You don't like her? fine. I am sure she will not lose any sleep over that.
I am sure she is heartbroken that some poster on Moviechat doesn't want her.
Because, as you hopefully will learn when you reach adulthood, there is more to beauty than big b00bs.
Yes. They were making great strides to show that we could ALL get along. And then along comes scumbags with divisive agendas and targeting young, impressionable people who are easily swayed into violence and "racial issues" blown all out of proportion.
Lol! Well, he deserved it!
You like that?
Over the years, my feelings towards certain episodes has changed. Though I enjoy the majority of TZ's episodes, when I was a young kid, I loved all the spooky episodes like "It's A Good Life" and "The Howling Man".
But as I have aged, I like the heartwarming episodes more. I still like a good creep out or scare now and again, but the ones that tough my heart do more for me.
"The Hunt", Kick the Can", "100 Yards Over the Rim" to name a few and my all-time favorite "Night of the Meek"
