It could very well be that he was cheap. But I heard that his staff loved working with him. Again, as we all do - we weren't there to see it for ourselves.
That's like the stories that have persisted through the years about Jack Benny. That he was cheap and a tightwad.
But, if you talked with his crew, they would have told a very different story.
That Jack was VERY generous, even giving the best lines to others, if he felt that it would have gotten a bigger laugh.
Don't you just hate "legal hurdles". They ruin everything
Maybe they just want to see if the origin story of Kraven is successful at the box office before they make a second film featuring him and Spider-man
Did you mean "Dougray Scott"?
Quite possibly, if he does actually use steroids. He has stated on a couple of occasions that he just eats a lot of chicken and pasta.
It would be a shame if he died young (as others have using that crap).
It's too bad that Ron Perlman is too old to reprise the role. As much as I like David Harbour, he was not Hellboy. Jack Kesey doesn't impress me much either.
Yes, but I think that a lot of the action stars, Schwarzenegger, Stallone and others, in movies like "The Expendables" franchise, are basically answering the call of their egos (plus a hefty paycheck).
But, I think (and hope!) that Hugh is smarter.
You may think 55 is young, and it is in many endeavors, but the kind of training required to do what Hugh has done for the last 20 years takes a toll on the body.
Of course, all did not happen quite as some naysayers have predicted. And now, as I write this, GoT is back on Max.
The next movie? Personally, I think they cannot do much more with the character before becoming absolutely redundant. I say let the franchise go out on a bang!
It would be nice. But I believe from what was inferred in the film that this is definitely Jackman's last turn as Wolverine. Despite the "doing it until your 90" comment that Wilson made twice in the film, I think Hugh has had enough. He is getting older and the training to get in shape takes a toll on the body as we age.
I was asking the poster above my post what buying a new refrigerator has to do with the movie.
What does this have to do with the movie?
"God drowned Atlantic" is what I was refering to. I think you meant "Atlantis"
I agree.
This is Movie Chat, so you are correct that it is a movie forum. But, in the General Discussion area, anyone can post anything (except politics, which, unfortunately, some do). That is why it is called General Discussion.
I would think if someone did not like this area, they would ignore it. To me, that would be the ADULT thing to do.
I think you meant Atlantis
Probably the most famous "Do you know who I am?" story is this one:
Several years ago, Jane Fonda and her husband Ted Turner walked into a small family-owned diner and she started to raise a stink about having to wait for a table. I have no idea if Ted acted insufferable or not, I just know that she did.
After a short time, the owner, who was also the main chef, came out to see what was going on.
Fonda got right up in his face and said "Do you know who I am?" (Now, here is where the story gets GOOD!!!)
The owner stared her back square in the eyes and said the following (which I am probably paraphrasing):
"Yes I know who you are! Do you know who I am?"
She said "No, I don't"
And then came his monumentally powerful answer:
"Well, I am a Vietnam veteran who served in combat! And as long as I am owner here, you will NEVER be seated in my restaurant Hanoi Jane!"
Yea! Get rid of Matchlok! I want Matlock!
The fact that Welles was doing some magic isn't unusual, as he was an accomplished amateur magician. This film does not show him at his best.
Not a problem. It's just when I hear someone vent as extremely as you did, I worry a bit. I knew a guy who got like that and eventually ended up jumping in front of cars on a highway.
