With a title like "American Primeval", it sounds to me like a "Cowboys Versus Dinosaurs" plot line.

I was born in 1951, so that gives you an idea of how "young" I am.
Being a "died in the wool" Ray Harryhausen fan since I first saw "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" in the late 50s, I have every film he ever had a hand in its production, including the wonderful "Valley of Gwangi".
It just seemed to me that someone was trying for another "Cowboys vs Dinosaurs (2015)" film (which was bad!), though I guess that is not what this film is about.

I like all of Harryhausen's movies, too. "Gwangi" is a good one, made even better by the Jerome Moross music score. I've never seen the 2015 cowboy/dinosaur film.
