And its hilarious how article was written before Pearl Harbor came out. And author thought that it will be mega hit that will make superstar out of every actor. But in reality Pearl Harbor came and was rather disappointment. I remember people didnt like it that mush, it was too long and quite boring. And it was quickly forgotten. They dont even show it on tv every time like they do with Armageddon, Harry Potter, Titanic, The Rock and other. It did not become popcorn-classic.
And money wise it had a monstrous budget of 140 millions. But made only 198 millions in USA and overall worldwide was 450 millions. It ended as number 7 in 2001 domestic box-office losing to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Shrek, Monsters, Rush Hour 2, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Mummy Returns. They hoped for a much-much better box-office. Pearl Harbor didnt deliver.
And being in popular blockbuster doesnt make you A-list star. All that fame fades away few months after move. Orlando Bloom vanished after last Pirats movie, Josh Hutcherson makes small movies after Hunger Games ended, Taylor Lautner went into D-lister right after last Twilight movie, Elija Wood was forgotten after last Lord of the Rings movie came.
Author of the article was very bad at knowing how showbiz works. And his constant telling poor Josh that he will now be superstar when Pearl Harbor will come out was just wrong and stupid. I imagine it was weird when everyone were saying to Josh that that he will become teen idol DiCarpio style in a second and Tom Cruise famous and then Pearl Harbor came out and no one cared. He was still at the level of small teen-heartthrob from those teen movies. He was at the level of Teen magazine cowers (occasionally) and big serious magazines like Vanity Fair quickly forgot about him.
Ok, I read the article. And its just so bad that its almost offensive to readers. Whole time author (and to my surprise it was a man named Bruce Handy) just admires how pretty Josh Hartnett is. And its non stop. Every other paragraph he keeps saying how pretty and handsome he is. I’m not surprised that Josh was traumatized by it ))) I just cant believe that magazine could run so badly written article.
And its funny that Josh Hartnet was never that much pretty )))) I remember his glory young days. There was something missing in him to be A-list superstar. Like he was fine and cute but not Brad Pitt - Tom Cruise handsome. Basically he was "it boy of the moment" that Hollywood tried to make happen by suddenly casting him in big roles. And then it didnt go anywhere. He turned out to be rather Taylor Kitch then DiCaprio and Tom Cruise. Movie goers would not rush to see big budget movie just because he was in it. That was the reason his career as A-list ended and not because he quit.
Big movie can make you visible and hot for a moment, But then you have to follow up with new superhits to trully become A-List. And Josh couldnt. The Black Dahlia had 50 millions budget and many starts but flopped with 22 millions. Hollywood Homicide had 75 millions budget but flopped with 30 millions. That was after Pearl Harbor and he was lead.
Whatever he may say how every studio was chasing him and he said no but reality is that he was never A-list material and didnt get that mush offers. He probably went to auditions but other actors got big roles.
Did you forget his phone rants to his girlfriend Oksana and how he was abusing her and treating to kill?
I cant support this decision. Spacey is a creep and probably deserves his cancellation. But so does Mel Gibson but somehow Hollywood just closed its eyes on his cancellation and he finds work and even got a freaking Oscar nomination after he was cancelled.
Is this case Spacey was fired from that show without any evidence that he did something wrong. It was just talk. But Netflix didnt wait for trial or opening of criminal case and fired him based on verbal accusations. Then lost money and now forces him to pay money.
And we all saw how sometimes verbal accusations dont stand in court or criminal case. Actor Ed Westwick was accused and fired from project. But then police looked into case and found no crime taking place and he was uncancelled. But his reputation was ruined and he lost roles and money.
Are you living under the rock? He is abusive creep who attacked his co-workers. Every crew he worked with probably hates him and have their own stories of his abuse.
People, stop worshiping those Hollywood idiots. All of them are narcissistic self -obsessed rich clowns who think they are better then you. While all of them are ordinary people.
You can worship memory of your beloved characters from the movies but dont confuse them with actors. Bill Murrey is not your character from Ghostbusters. That character was written by writers.
Bill Murray as a person is abusive creep who should have been cancelled long time ago. He abused everyone, even 9-years old children. He used force to forcibly throw 9 years old child actor to trash can to the point when child then ran away and hid under the table, crying in fear. If that would happen today - there would be multimillion lawsuit and criminal case. Like that woman he abused on his cancelled film who immediately complained and there was witness and he had to pay money and suffer consequences.
I watch Nerdrotic you tube videos. And he said it when the first trailer aired that this guy is Sauron so I wasnt surprised. I kinda hoped that they would try to be original and make someone else. But nope.
He kept calling him Sauron every time he reviewed episode. Saying sarcastically "not-Sauron" and "not-Gandalf" on that tall guy )))

You dont understand that people in industry treat celebrities different. For ordinary person if any celebrity pays any attention to them then they are starstruck and happy as hell and would do anything to please celebrity. So your wife would be happy if Bill Murrey kissed her.
People who work on movies are not starctruck by celebrities. They see them every day and see them as fellow colleagues. So that woman was not starstruck when he attacked her.
Just ask your wife what would she think if an ugly looking 73 years old creep from her office would jump at her and start kissing. She would not like it.

This is the same with Chris Note. When some hot or rich famous men think that every woman that smiled at them and was nice - just sends her signals that that she wants to sleep with them. And in most cases its just women being nice and polite.
Can you imagine if some old ugly looking pretty woman who worked at the set or anywhere else and who Murrey had no interest in - would suddenly jump at him and tried to kiss him and undress him? And his reaction would be: "Get off me. You cray?" And she would say: "But... but... you smiled and me and was nice. I thought you wanted it too sweety?" )))

I watch those two shows out of boredom, spending half time in my phone. Because it too boring often. But its fun to write my thoughts afterwards on forums about it.
And have to admit that that Dragons wins over Rings in all department. Dragon feels real and like its written by an actual writers and people know what they are doing and what their final goal is. Its the story that is boring itself and not much happens. But actors are good and special effects too.
While Rings feels like CW show, with horrible casting. No one apart from dwarfs and young Ned Stark can act. Black elf is horrible and looks like he is 50 years old. Galadriel is the worst of worsts. Teen son has no presence, his mom too. Isildur is non-charismatic. That not-Sauron guy is just a pretty face. Not-Gendalf is sleeping his way. Not-hobbits have CW level of acting.
Everything about Rings of Power is bad and feels like its written by people who never wrote anything. Oh well, one more episode and we will be done with that shite for 1.5 years at least until they will film second season.
Honestly I have no problem with that. That dude always creeped my out. Never understood why people treated him like he was some national treasure. He cant act and always plays the same role - cynical unfunny rude creep. And by his interviews it seems like he was just playing himself.
Too many stories of him being rude, mean and unpleasant to work with. Luci Liu being the most famous case when he literally bullied her. Then Gina Davis. Now this woman. Something tells me that if his cancellation will come in full force then many other people will speak up.

This was the most boring episode so far. Galadriel continues to be the most annoying character. I assume they didnt plan her to be this awful and horrible but the actress is just so bad and unlikable. I mean they did countless screen tests, there were other actresses. How on earth they could pick her? She has zero charisma. Cant act at all. Her Galadriel has no personality and at this point she just has unhealthy obsession with Sauron.
I laughed so hard when they showed that Queen with eye patch being blind from something. I missed why she got blind. Here there were those Numenor people living happily on their island. Then crazy Galadriel shows up and orders them to ship somewhere she wants, for her revenge obsession. For some reason they listen to crazy, with queen herself sailing too. Then queen lost her eyesight and now sits and still graciously kisses Galadriel arse while all of this is because of her.
It made no sense and is not realistic. And they only made that up so that there would be explanation why suddenly everyone were gone and only those assassins were left. And because whole movie they tried to portray them as cool funny guys and they were our protagonists - they couldnt be bad, you know.
We had to root for them. But how can anyone root if they crash whole train with hundreds of people many of whom will die in crash? So writers just said: "Dont worry, no one innocent dies. Train got empty just before crash and no one innocent died while all those fighting happened either.
