Jesus, the sheer ARROGANCE of those TWO CUNTS!!

reply

Hey writers, it’s called staying true to Tolkien and the Legendarium. Stop injecting today’s real world politics into the show.

reply

They will never respond to real critics, only to curated questions from approved outlets. Imagine a livestream with them and the guys from The One Ring, the showrunners would get ripped a new asshole.

reply

Didn't they do a panel with Stephen Colbert where they were basically embarrassed? I think I saw a clip of that once. Colbert is apparently a big fan of Tolkien and he stumped them with his questions.

reply

If elves needed Mithril to survive, they would have cut Bilbo's or Frodo's throat for it in Rivendell. I really hate how the writers made this a thing.

reply

"But...but...Tolkien didn't explicitly write that the Elves didn't need it to survive!"

reply

I really fooking hate constantly hearing that line from all the apologists of this fan-fiction Tolkien “adaptation”

reply

Yeah it is annoying.

reply

That's nonsense.
In the end it's two people who lack talent who are convinced they can do better that a genius.

reply

Those idiots are so arrogant. No wonder this show is so bad.

reply

Tolkien never explicitly wrote that the two of them don't suck each other's cocks.

reply

lol!

I'm personally enjoying the series for what it is, but wow, Payne comes off as arrogant, patronizing and douchy in that article. I can fully imagine the following exchange:

Me: "Superman does NOT wear thongs or sleep with teddy bears!"
Payne: "If there's a comprehensive exposé by Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster detailing Superman's dressing and sleeping habits I would love to see it."

What a moron.

Good God! Where do they come up with that BS? Even IF Galadriel’s name could be translated as golden crown of hair, it is a leap the size of the Sundering Sea to get from that to saying she braided it up to train or fight battles! If could just as easily (and more reasonably) mean, you know, that she has blonde hair. And “Nerwin?” Out of which orifice did he pull that one? I’ve heard one of Payne’s nicknames is “Doofus” which means clueless, arrogant twat.

And fine, you want to go broader and deeper into the cultures of Middle Earth, which is all good except they do exactly none of that. Each episode is a random collection of disjointed, made up crap and mystery boxes.
