Reagan says hi. The same tv that told you about the “firey but mostly peaceful protests”? The same tv that claimed Trump said Nazis were very fine people? The same tv that said Rittenhouse was a murderer? Suspension of disbelief. Both, though more often in comics. A lot of the time, Batman and Robin just use their fists. There’s plenty of instances where Robin literally takes down guys by punching and kicking them, whether it’s hitting them in their vital spots or using flashy acrobatic moves. Evidence like that makes the violent footage look all the more suspect. The violent footage looks staged, like it was filmed elsewhere, maybe even filmed beforehand, but aired at the same time to make it look worse than it actually was. Eh, I grew up with Batman and Robin, with Robin being a 9-12 year old kid taking on adults much larger than him. Not to mention various other stories and franchises where tiny people are beating much bigger opponents, whether they have powers or not. "equally well" is debatable, and based on past black-washing efforts, it's unlikely. If people defending this are gonna complain that a Hawaiian actress isn't Hawaiian enough for Lilo and Stitch, it's only fair to ask that a white girl play a white girl. Does she hate herself and/or her race by any chance? Then why bother getting her in the first place? Just hire an actual white girl. I love his earlier works, but having every movie and show feel like his gets old fast, especially when writers do it poorly like you said. And when they're not copying Whedon, they're copying the edgier James Gunn, who pretty much filled the void when allegations against Whedon destroyed his career. Funnily enough, Gunn beat his own allegations. Their styles are not a one-size-fits-all for nerdy IPs, it doesn't work on all of them. I don't wanna see Lord of the Rings or Star Wars with that style; that last DnD movie tried it and it didn't work for me. DnD should be an epic like LOTR, not some Avengers/Guardians/Suicide Squad wannabe. Modern writers are copying Joss Whedon and James Gunn and they suck at it. They think they're funny and clever when they're not. But the MCU has dominated the box-office for 10 years, so studios think that's what everyone wants to see in every movie, TV show, book, and video game, and that's why they now only hire writers with that style, even if they suck. Oh they noticed, and I'm pretty sure it was on purpose. In all the posters, her pants are a different color, yet in the actual movie they're the same color as her skin. Miyazaki is, as the kids say, a man of culture. He didn’t self-confess, he was recorded during a private meeting. Either way, when a pussy-grabber has more respect for Christianity than the rest of the politicians, you know you screwed up. Phase 4 ended with Black Panther 2. We're almost done with Phase 5, which will end with Captain America Brave New World. Fantastic Four is actually the start of Phase 6. I haven’t seen any far-right boogeymen attack this movie. I have seen normal people criticize the lead actress for overreacting to a fan-made poster, especially when the fan poster improved the movie’s version where she had dead eyes. Are there any bigger post-IMDb sites than this one? I like moviechat just fine, but if I can get even more engagement elsewhere, that’d be appreciated. As usual, you people block and run away whenever you lose. There’s been multiple parties over the years, and many have gone through changes. The reason republicans and democrats are the largest is because most Americans align with one of those two, that’s just the way it is. The middle and lower classes generally do better financially, legally, and public safety-wise under republicans than democrats. Republicans have consistently supported border security and legal immigration, while democrats at best rode whatever tide made them look good. I shouldn’t have to tell you where republicans and democrats stand on healthcare and gun rights. Finally, Republicans have always pushed for equality, unity, and meritocracy; while democrats always pushed for segregation, division, and favoritism. The only thing democrats changed was how they preach their bigotry. If you really think affirmative action and diversity quotas haven’t been harmful to society at large, then you’re the one who’s fallen for their propaganda and distractions. The two were never the same; once in a blue moon they might agree on something, but that’s it. The fact that some rich elitists are smart enough to profit regardless of who’s in charge doesn’t mean anything. I know that the parties themselves formed later, but the types people that made up the parties, people with those particular beliefs, have existed for a long time And it’s disingenuous to say that both sides are rightwing and pro-rich when they never were. Even if they occasionally agree on a couple of things, the differences in beliefs are too obvious to ignore. That’s certainly one way to see it. British colonists weren’t immigrants, and democrats at every turn have opposed everything you said, even to this day.
