Taxi Driver is dark and disturbing and more of a psychological thriller. Dog Day Afternoon is a heist flick with as much comedy as there is drama, despite the downer ending. If I had to choose I’d say Taxi Driver is the better movie as an artistic piece, but DDA is more enjoyable to watch. Basically where people test their freedom of expression and right to public photography by filming or taking pictures in public areas. That includes police stations, post offices, libraries etc. So basically a 1930s X Files? He had been smoking cigarettes since he was 8 years old and was addicted for years. He’s lucky to be alive. My grandfather smoked since he was 10 and had a pack a day until he was 50 when he had a heart attack and quit for good. But it was already too late as he died from vascular dementia at 72. Those tobacco companies did everything in their power to keep people addicted to their products. First Amendment audits. They’re so addicting to watch. Film is theatre… unless you’re talking about documentaries. The true pig was the friends he made along the way… LOL I forgot this movie existed No way is this the worst Spielberg movie, this was made when he was still at least somewhat motivated to make entertaining movies. The opening tripod attack looks great, and there’s a feeling of impending doom throughout the first half of the movie that feels authentic. I would say Spielberg started to suck shorty after this, and soon ended up making boring melodramas (War Horse, Bridge of Spies, The Post) or horrible uncanny valley CGI messes (Ready Player One, Tintin, BFG) for the rest of his career. There’s no “humor” in that, it’s just sick and twisted. He also attends pedo-themed parties and is good friends with a convicted sex offender and pedo. HollyWEIRD is full of these type of freaks. Gunn is a disgusting pedo-dude, and Marty should just retire. And water is wet As I said, Fellowship doesn’t feel exactly the same. In fact, Fellowship is widely considered to be the better movie out of the three. The lightning, script, effects, direction, etc all feel different to the other two. There was certainly a larger overall plot and story going on, but each film certainly had its own plots. Gollum wasn’t even part of the plot until the sequels. The first film certainly feels more self-contained with character development for different characters, like Boromir, Gandalf, Frodo etc. Each film has its own unique stylistic touch. This is where the magic of editing and continuity changes comes into play. Also if the movies weren’t a trilogy, then they wouldn’t be marketed as a trilogy either. Also TOLKIEN irrelevant, he died 30 years prior and didn’t even make the movies. Lol of course it’s relevant, Fellowship feels like an entirely different style of movie at times compared to the sequels. The first is an adventure and the other two are war movies. Even the lighting and direction is different in Fellowship. If it were like your example of just taking another movie and chopping it up into thirds then there would be no difference in the pieces, but there is. Also of course there were “individualistic plots,” there is an entire character arc for Frodo in the first movie that can stand on its own. Each film ends at a logical closure point, you can’t compare it to the books that actually do feel like one long three-part act. What is irrelevant is the films being part of the same production. There are numerous examples of a film and its sequel being filmed concurrently. Ever heard of back-to-back? It’s not really the same as just taking a three hour movie and dividing it into thirds though. Each movie took an entire year to be edited in post. There were numerous changes between the movies in style and tone. Actually all three movies have a slightly different feel to them due to production choices for each, as well as the story structure. I thought it was Ellen Degeneres He and Paul Newman both had sons named Scott who died So when is USA going to apologize for attacking and causing genocide in Vietnam? Never I guess… I think you need to watch the movie again because you didn’t understand the message at all… either that or you’re brain-damaged, or you’re just a bootlicker
