I agree, but, it is the same thing right? girl makes conscious choice - he donates via sex OR sperm bank
so, if the concept is exactly the same - girl choosing to get pregnant to be a single mother (same as getting sperm inseminated) - yet she wants to have a little fun with it, why would the guy be on the hook after that?
Additionally, he could donate separately, she could select him from the choices... how would that be any different?
I'm sort of making a point, and sort of asking from ignorance... maybe they both signed legal intent/consent forms, then have their fun, would he NEVER be held accountable to support the baby? I mean, SHE wants to be a single mom (has money and confidence to make it work)

people boosting fake lives to themselves and others, could also lie about what they really did to themselves and others.
if I'd wanted to be a hit radio star and got a memory that I had made 30 super hit songs, and was adored and worshipped by millions of fans, if it wasn't real, but I thought it was, does it make any difference? I get to think I was "all that" for a few years in my past, no one is harmed, no one cares.
(personally, I enjoy EARNING my way - but, clearly, the instagram crowd doesn't)

so, is the old school "viral to shame", and modern "cancelled from employment", when real laws are NOT broken, somehow have a positive outcome? that's basically what I am asking.
if there is no "upside", why do we all allow it to continue?
If it is dragging society down, instead of having some positive upside, should we all step up to stop it?

seriously, with all due respect, I want to say we have pointlessly OVER complicated these matters.
we need to be less sensitive, call out the insanity and put it back in its place.
handling everything with kid gloves recently is exactly what is causing our biggest problems: "OoOOOoh someone might be offended by something". Yes, we're all getting offended by stupid people making up dumbshit rules about things that make zero sense in reality.
Maybe if parents stepped up, while putting their foot down, we wouldn't have this pile of easily offended, entitled, pussified, "Gender-confused", spineless wimps we see trying to call the cry baby police about every tiny little thing.
While we all have our paranoid, cancel fest, of not offending anyone and banning everything, any other country with two balls and a couple guns, will just step in and enslave everyone. because we're big pussies, worrying about which bathroom to use, instead of know what makes a real man or woman.
then maybe we'd never need a discussion about why the hell we let LITTLE CHILDREN decide anything in their life before they are ready to.

I would think 41% suicide rate is a clear indicator that you are fucked up in a non-helpful way, not in a way that everyone else needs to bend over and enable you to continue being a mental mess.
