Mrs. Sellner isn't the bad guy here; it was just Daniel being careless at the last minute by placing his mask in the picture window....... Actually, the whole mess could have been avoided entirely if he'd just found a suitable, stable place in his bedroom to keep his mask out of plain sight! After all, Mrs. Sellner never went into his bedroom the whole visit and there was no reason at all that it needed to be perched vicariously on an unsteady window frame while he was dressing. And another question is; Why the hell was he dressing and undressing with his window open and lights on in the middle of the night knowing full well those Asian twins were watching him like a movie?! Obviously; it's vanity and nothing else. 'Sunflower Girls' it's right there in the name. Frontier Scouts? Not so much. One could only hope........ I agree with everything you said except that Toss was justified because he wasn't since they never talked it out and discussed rules for the break or came to an agreement, she just barely suggests it and he stormed out, so break was not agreed upon. Team Rachel for the win! Maybe he just doesn't like horror movies? KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT! Totally agree with that statement. Well technically, Jane isn't the good guy or the bad guy; she's just neutral and we need her to introduce the Deetzes into the movie.....that's the whole reason why she's in the movie. Did she sell their home too soon is the question. Maybe. Not too clear on how long Barbara and Adam were in there home alone as ghosts maybe three days; but time runs different for the living and the dead in this world; which is why Adam disappeared for three hours just walking onto his own front porch; on the other other hand, she does need to eat and has a child to support; near as we can see she's a single mother and people cringe that her daughter will grow to be just like her. Does her behavior explain why she had to raise the child alone and why her husband left? Probably; or it could have been a one-night stand, or widowed it's not important or explained; all we know about her daughter is raised to be just like her or a similar personality to Lydia Deetze. She and her child do not appear again in the movie after they give Lydia the skeleton key which Lydia has every right to have because it's a key for her own house! Besides some of you ought to get a grip; since when she sold the Maitland's house Barbara and Adam both were already dead and when you're dead you can't take it with you, and a house can't just stay vacant because the owners died, so it would have been sold anyways and y'all would be mad at another real estate agent. The midway point of the movie is; Cole was beginning to get more and more used to talking to the dead by that point. Tell me something: Do you feel the same way about the 1970's Teenage Boy ghost who wants to show Cole daddy's gun? Do you feel that way about Malcolm who also died by getting shot? Do you say; "It was the 1970's obviously. Are you telling me that teen and his cousin/friend really ran out of things to do? Couldn't he come up with something else while he was having company; why did he insist on playing with a loaded gun when everyone knows doing that has never ever turned out well? Do you ask that, do you have that energy? When asking about Dr. Malcolm Crowe do you not ask yourself; How come Malcolm didn't just grab Anna, shut and lock the bathroom door with Vince inside of it and run downstairs hiding together and call 911 from there? Couldn't Malcolm see that Vince was holding a gun and raising it slowly pointing it right at Malcolm? Malcolm could have run, but he didn't, why? Do you ask that, do you have that energy? I hope so too. I wonder if this is just a sexist troll being a sexist troll regarding Kyra. Incidentally, does he feel the same way about the teen boy who was shot by his friend just before we meet Kyra in this movie------because his death was a lot more self-inflicted than Kyra's was. No, Cole knew all along that Malcolm was dead; that's why he was running away towards the church at the start of the movie when Malcolm tries to approach him and why he doesn't ask his mom why there's a man just randomly sitting in their family room and when his mom goes to the kitchen leaving them alone more or less, he's reluctant to play Malcolm's psychic game.......since it risks him having to tell Malcolm that he's dead and Cole would have to fear and deal with how Malcolm would react........the closest that Cole comes to telling Malcolm that Malcolm already passed away was when he was in ICU and Malcolm was wearing the Crew Club sweater and Cole fixes his gaze on him saying, "I see dead people. They don't see each other, they only see what they want to see, they don't know they're dead......." Indirectly but directly he is talking to Malcolm and even if he didn't know; there's still no physical way for Anna to hear what her husband has to say at the end because Anna is alive and her husband isn't. The living and the dead aren't meant to interact. My best guess? Probably not. Could happen to anyone These things happen Not really though. Daniel did need to be punished for breaking the law and disobeying court orders. He's actually lucky his punishment at the end wasn't more harsh. Absolutely not! This was a nod for all kids whose parents got divorced to keep their heads above water!
