Because the majority of comic book films we've gotten recently haven't really pushed themselves to become more grit and just basically kept a consistent tone of being fun & entertaining. That's definitely not a bad thing but it's nice to see a change once in a while and shy away from these typical tropes.
I wouldn't go as far as saying he looks lanky. Yes, perhaps not having as fit of an upper body physique as Bale may make a pretty big difference but he's still in good shape for the role.
Exactly. Pattinson is pretty lean around his stomach area but he's just not that muscular on his upper body area but still muscular enough to play Batman.
Pattinson definitely doesn't really have any fat on his stomach area. The pic actually shows some of his abdominal definition. He doesn't have a six pack but he doesn't exactly need that to fullfill the appearance of Batman and compared to Bales adbominus muscles, they are about the same. Bale just has more upper body muscle mass than Pattinson that's all.
How exactly did that come off as prejudice? All I said was in response to what you said about Pattinson being too "tiny" for Batman. So aren't exactly you coming off as prejudice against "tiny" people? And all I said in response is that he was over 6 feet therefore indicating that his height is one factor that contributes to the accuracy of the appearance of Batman.
Gosh do you know how to comprehend any form of reading material?
I thought Mendes did a pretty great job with the character. I know many criticise Craig's portrayal in Skyfall as being "too moody" and I can see why but I honestly liked that direction he took. My personal preference is the more serious approach they've taken with the character and not the more tongue and cheek approach so I didn't mind Mendes vision.
I also gotta disagree with you on the supporting characters. Naomi Harris, Ben Whishaw, and Ralph Fiennes are all great actors and they did a fantastic job in these films.
I didn't like the whole Blofeld scenario in Spectre as well. I actually didn't mind Waltz being revealed as Blofeld and him being somewhat related to Bond but what I hated was the motivation. Like the reason why he started this whole global terrorist organization was because Blofeld got jealous of Bond and his father's relationship was a very weak motivation.
I appreciate you respecting my opinion.
Bale is a little more buff but Pattinson is still in pretty great shade to take on Batman.
I didn't say just being over 6 feet genuinely means he's fit for the role. I said hes 6 feet AND fit enough for the role. I didn't say something like "he's 6 feet SO he's fit enough." Learn how to read.
I'm sorry but I love Daniel Craig as Bond. I actually love every iteration we've had since Connery but Daniel Craig is my personal favorite. Casino Royale and Skyfall are my two favorite Bond movies as well as being two of my favorite films of all time. Quantum of Solace and Spectre were meh but not not horrible and I thought No Time to Die was a satisfying send off for Craig.
Yeah I'm honestly not surprised. Crazy how it's that difficult for anyone nowadays to provide some reasonable sense into online discussions.
I do agree that a majority on young movie going audiences should grow up and expose themselves to other content rather than just comic book films, however this actually looks like something that will take the genre into a more serious & mature approach rather than just being a typical fun superhero adventure. I'm excited for this regardless cause I love Batman but I have a feeling this is gonna be beyond the typical superhero fatigue.
Exactly. Like there are plenty of female oriented films that may come off poorly but it doesn't have to do with their gender, it has to do with how their characters are handled. And there are some films that are genuinely great with female leads. So yeah Knives Out featured an illegal immigrant woman who ends up getting all the inheritance & the house that was originally owned by whites. Ok that doesn't make it woke at all. The character of Marta was a well written likeable character so how should audiences get mad about how the film ended? Like that isn't woke at all
I don't even enjoy a majority of comic book films. There's only a few that stand out to me. This however looks like something different and more mature and that's what Batman is essentially.
Again just admit it. You just dont like females in general.
How does grinding your teeth make sense to compare to a scenario of sexism?
Face it. Your just sexist and can't handle females taking a predominant part in a movie.
Pattinson is over 6 feet and fit enough for the role
People actually care about this "junk" because Batman is one of the most popular characters ever, Matt Reeves who is one of the best directors working today is directing this, great cast, and great trailers.
I've never seen the show so I can't really judge but I'm still trying to understand why diversity should be such a problem despite it being so minimal.
If you really have a major issue with the "diversity" in Knives Out then you have some serious issues. It's almost like you think men should only exist in this world.
