That one with Meg Ryan... "Rules of Engagement" ? Carpenters own track record is tailing off from his heyday. There was a thread the other day saying he hadnt made a good film in 2 decades (or some time period) I looked it up , and imho only 1 of the last 5 films were much good "It's not time wasting if it's making a lot of money." that only applies if you are the one profiting from it. Yes theres other stuff, and i do find stuff to watch, but the sheer volume of superhero shit is mind boggling. They could be making actual good stuff , like in the 70s,80s and 90s Instead of just feeding the masses with banal, childish, men-in-costumes baby stories. You dont need to take it! I know you find them palatable but , like a chicken mcnugget, theres so much better stuff they could be making - like literally anything. phew! sorry , got a bit ranty there. i dont think you're getting the gist of the "open marriage" scenario 1 - time travel films / loops / paradoxes / whatever , anything can happen 2 - they were , chilling , war was over . fine . at least she was armed. 3 - well , looks like the machines are always gonna take over , as sure as wars in the middle east. 4 - you dont need anything new , the liquid over skeleton was a bonus 5 - didnt really understand the rambling but she a protector. soldier from the future . job done. 6 - thats what usually sequels are , same shit with a few twists. 7 - the action scenes were adequate from what i remember. 8 - u maybe right , i have no memory of her. 9 - I cant deny thats pretty F***ing out there Quite the opposite , He's talked his wife into the "open marriage" scenario, so that he can have "his pick of most women out there" He's married , and can f**k whoever he wants. by comparison you're cuckolded! haha i saw that clip on youtube: "aussie man reviews" personal space episode he gave him a little slap too! you're right thankfully I dont have to watch superhero films. I'm just sick of hearing about them, but again , i can ignore that. I just wonder what great stuff might be being produced if hollywood (or whoever ) wasnt wasting their time on the constant stream of drivel that is mcu etc. (liked by many profitable drivel admittedly) "Jackson Galaxy is a cat behaviorist " tough gig! the "palm of the hand" one looks familiar. did they predict Meg's duck lips?? easy: It's the Power of Love u r an embarrasment to engineers "yea i know pacino/de neiro nut i just dont care" I'm not mad about those two , but its still worth it. That said i havent felt like sitting through it again yet , and its been about 20 years interesting, that article kind of vindicates Trumps UV light comments , whilst further rubutting his disinfectant idea I'm not sure there were because at one point it said "This guy is #2 and #6 " or something similar :) ok , i take your point , we arnt shown *everything* , but theres a line somewhere where "stuff relevent to the story" must be mentioned . If the whole premise is "we cant produce food so we need a new planet" , they could go a little deeper than "its all dusty and the corn wont grow". Just a few throwaway lines to cover the other options They certainly went very in depth with the spaceship building , thats quite the back and forth you two are having. Wsnt the whole point of finding another planet because the food supply was bad? not just to keep that one farmer in work. therefore if , as u say , hydroponics is viable, or as he says , seafood is useable. Then the whole plotline of the film is rendered unnecessary isn't it? i think that is what ProgR is trying to get across. Although i doubt i've got it across either. Yeah . "Bill and Teds bogus journey" at the cinema , on the front row :) one time me and a friend were on it, still up at 5am with the tv on. Yogi bear comes on. And i swear to god theres an episode where he goes to space! instead of running round the forest stealing pic-a-nic baskets , he was rowing through space in a big bubble of some sort .... That freaked us out. Seven Psychopaths was a bit of a misleading title
