The critical drinker just interviewed Crowe and I must say, I wasn’t planning on watching this, but I certainly am now. It’s getting as decent reviews for an Exorcist type film as one would expect and even the so so ones are singing Crowe’s praises. I actually think it’s going to be an unexpectedly pleasant little film. And the fact that it has an R rating is positively telling as well. They’re going the distance with this and not looking to milk a universal audience. Yay So…..vedict. Yay or Nay? Hell nah. Small hands, smell like cabbage. I agree, McLaren should have refused it or publicly presented it to Miles at the race or at a formal gathering after. Wong. I had no idea, good catch. More than likely pushing 5 foot 7 and yes that may not be tall but it is by no means midget short. Napoleon was not short. This is a common misconception. Well short is relative, he was of average height among his countrymen. Carlito (past self) was not a good guy, he was dealing copious amounts of heroin and most likely involved in multiple murders to facilitate this. I think the judge’s words were something along the lines of “reputed assassin.” Norwalk may very well have been operating honorably and with good intentions…, we don’t know that he was dirty, he may have just had giant fucking balls and was tired of seeing his city be consumed by murderous heroin dealers. That being said, the Carlito we are introduced to is not the Carlito as described, he’s clearly a changed man. Given Kleinfeld’s nature I see no reason to take Norwalk’s word that Kleinfeld sold him out as anything but true. Dude plays bass, unless you’re being silly… Personally I can’t stand his music. Cmon Leo, your argument is absurd and you know it. If you’re trolling, this is a lame topic to troll and if you’re simply naive you need to grow the hell up kid. People tragically lose their lives or are severely wounded/disabled/altered everyday, most times permanently, due to irresponsible gun use. Gun (cold or not) safety is everyone’s responsibility. Tell that to the guy in the Simpsons’ episode, if you don’t know, you don’t know ;) Thank you for the laugh, I needed that. Bravo As well as behind their masks. Fucking pussies. Fucking A I would, it would be compassionate, empathetic, intimate and nasty ( the good kind;) ). The world needs bad men Marty... Were they flawed, absolutely but were they relatively good men doing exceedingly good deeds, fucking A they were. To answer your question, yes, we are supposed to be rooting for Marty and Cole (they’re life styles, not so much). Personally I welcomed their flawed nature, and the fact that they grew and developed and saw things within themselves which motivated them to be better men. Marty is a broken man at the end, not from the gutting he received from Childress but from his betrayals to his wife and daughters. When they return to him at the end he comes full circle and his change is one that I personally believe. I appreciate that level of authenticity in the writing of characters.
