Seems to me the one defining characteristic of Napoleon was that he was a short little fucker, so the one thing you would want in any actor playing him would be a short fucker. Joaquin isn't tall, but he isn't as short as Napoleon was either.

Napoleon was not short. This is a common misconception. Well short is relative, he was of average height among his countrymen.
share5 foot 5 is fucking short... maybe not in comparison to other short fuckers in France but in comparison to the other leaders of the world he was fucking short. George Washington was 6 foot 2 as was Thomas Jefferson... King George the 3rd was also over 6 feet... The previous king of France was about 6 foot 3 inches... So in comparison to the other leaders Napoleon was a short little fucker that probably felt inferior due to his being looked down upon by every other leader since he was a fucking midget in comparison.
