I know of Hardesty and agree that he could be a jerk at times.
I don't remember much about the season 15 segment you mentioned, but that sounds very awful for what the woman had to deal with.
I remember the bearded guy getting arrested. I know Hardesty gave him an attitude for calmly asking him "What's going on"? I also remember the victims coming and Hardesty asking them if he stole the car in which they replied "Yes", in which Hardesty replied, "That's exactly what I wanted to hear".
I remember the other woman in the stolen car. I remember her crying and Hardesty seemed to be nonchalant about it by asking "Why are you crying?" She knew something was off. I also remember him telling the woman she lied.
I too felt sorry for all of them because of him and feel that he's very smug. I don't like officers telling suspects that they're lying. What if it's really the truth?
On another forum, one TV expert thinks Reelz might pick it up eventually.
Maybe they will be eventually shown in the U.S.
I saw that too. I thought that was very nice for Lower to do that.
I get a slight resemblance to Jeff Lower.
My brother and his wife live in Lansing. They have their rough areas, but they live in a pretty safe neighborhood. There was a theft in the area that were done by kids that he had to intervene in. They were pretty much scared straight by the parents. Toledo has had a large number of homicides these past 10 years, but many of them are in the inner-city neighborhoods and quite a few of them are gang-related.
I'm about 15-20 minutes away from there. A fairly nice community.
I would never use a cheap bike lock either.
I forgot about him lying about his name.
What part of Michigan does your cousin live?
Bike are some of the easiest things to steal, and I don't feel sorry for any bike thief.
Was that the one with the black guy with the baseball cap who wanted to know if he could have his lawyer present during the search of his person?
I agree that Rapists and Child Molesters are the worst of the worst. It's hard to feel sorry for any of them.
You might not have seen this one as it's from season 25, but he was an officer for The Toledo Police Department in Ohio. His name is Adam Eilerts. He and his partner were called to a fight between two women. Both were going to jail except for the one was delayed due to an injury that required medical care. He was in the Marines for 15-20 years before joining the department. He retired earlier this year and moved to Florida. When I met him, he was a community police officer, which are those that go around patrolling and talking to citizens in the community. He once had the highest number of arrests and once had a knee injury while dealing with a suspect who was a drug user. Great guy.
He was a decent cop, if not being slightly arrogant sometimes. I liked some of his quips, like when he told the one suspect who stole the bike during a sting, like him saying "You've been to Disneyland and they say "you must be this tall to ride this ride", "Well you're certainly not tall enough to ride this bike".
Yes, just two.
I liked Dalton and Ost too. I think Fort Worth had some of the most likable cops. I remember Dalton saying if he was suddenly rich tomorrow, he would still work. He'd seemed to love his job.
John Ost was a great cop too. He seemed very calm and polite dealing with criminals.
I wish Officer Grow appeared in other segments.
I can tolerate Clark when he's not in intense situations too. He's a jerk and rude during intense situations, in my opinion.
Yes. I really liked Jim Grow as an officer. I remember him saying how you have to be on your toes and be careful because suspects might try to kill you and he also said later during the segment that it reinforced what he said earlier. I also agree that Clark was a bit belligerent during the segment. I liked Grow saying how he thought it was funny they had a bible and told the suspects to read it before they attempt to do something like that. I also liked how he said "Deeelin!" before he got out of the car. I didn't feel sorry for the suspects either as they likely got more charges by trying to run the officers over.
Grow also appeared in another segment where a middle-aged black male claimed 2 women stole his car in a convenience store parking lot. When Grow finds the car, the one suspect puts up a fight with him. He was very calm there too! I remember the funny statement the female suspect about the man wanting the female to wipe his booty. Clark was also the backup officer in the segment and thought the statement was funny too. One of the few times I liked Officer Clark.
I met one of the officers who appeared on the show, but that's about it. Never personally knew any suspects on the show.
Cancelled in the U.S. but airing to fill contracts overseas.
