My husband does also. In general I would agree, but I had to mail a letter today,(just dropped it in the mailbox), and I saw a couple of older people going inside the post office. We have a friend who is in his early 80's and he went to church last week - I just don't get that. I told him I was sure God would forgive him for not going to church, but if someone caught the virus from him they probably wouldn't. That can be used on DVD's? I thought that would probably mess it up. Well, it goes without saying the cover is a problem, but easily cleaned or simply left outside. I can bring a clorox wipe to use on the Red Box screen. The Terminator Apparently not much. I cruise frequently so it has always been a hot topic on the Cruise Critic forums. Norovirus can be a problem on ships and there have been numerous large breakouts over the years. Frequent hand washing helps control the disease but all the time we see people using the bathroom and not washing their hands - according to my husband, men are huge offenders. Totally gross. I think things will totally change when things open up again. I see salad bars going away - sad bout that because I like the one at Ruby Tuesday's. Maybe even self serve buffets, like the ones at casinos will disappear. But then, servers need to change their habits also. Unless it is high end restaurant, they remove dirty dishes and then touch clean ones. That needs to stop also. That makes sense. Agree - it's just my husband and myself so I'll pass. Best move so far! Thanks - that is very enlightening. Just exactly why did so many who had to be exposed not catch the virus? Perplexing. I can't stand gin, so I drink Vodka martinis. No olives either. I really don't drink them often because I prefer bourbon, especially Manhattans. So funny - I bought the washer two weeks ago and today was the first day I could have it delivered. My old washer was dead, so last weekend I did 3 loads of laundry at my son's house, but I told my husband after that to wear his clothes as long as possible so I didn't have tons of laundry to do when the new washer came. I told my friend about this and she said she hoped I least changed my underware. LOL I had a new washer delivered today. There is an outside entrance to our basement,(where my hookups are located), so the delivery men didn't have to come into my living area and I didn't go down while they were there. So, this is the most excitement I have right now - doing laundry. Let me ask you this - I'm 69 and in very good health, but my husband is considerably older so I'm concerned about him - at least for now. We are staying in for a couple of weeks just to see how this progresses, but at what point do older people start venturing out? Do we stay quarantined forever? This is not going away anytime soon - yes we may flatten the curve for now but who's to say it won't start right back up again if people start going back out and businesses reopen? Hopefully if most of the people who get it build an immunity to the virus, then it might die down but that will not happen overnight. Absolutely yes. He beat the Pats and spoiled their perfect season. For that he deserves a place in heaven also. I don't recall if those 35 were removed from the ship before the rest or left on with everyone else. I'll have to look it up. I would just like to know how many people have actually required hospitalization and ventilators 10% 20% 50% or more of the confirmed cases. By now there should be a number reported and I can't find that. It was just announced in Ohio that there are 67 confirmed cases and 17 required hospitalization, so about 5%, but do all of those require ventilators? Oh come on - the Bible is peppered with stories of animal sacrifices. I'm a christian, (not sure how the differs from a true one but), I eat meat. I do love my cats, tho. Your bullshit belongs on the politics board where I will gladly shot down your exalted opinion of communism - especially how it pertains to the Russian Revolution and the Soviet Union. Last time I got totally wasted was long ago back when I was around 30. Thought I was going to die and wished I would. I swore I never would do that to myself again and I haven't.
