Hahah great story. I'm not sure if this counts but in 6th grade all 4 of the 6th grade classes from my school went camping at Glen Helen Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio, home of Dave Chappelle btw. It was great for me because as a little perverted 12 year old I will never forget the day 3 of the cuter girls from my class all got simultaneously pantsed by 3 other girls. Right in front of me. But I also remember loving our super hippy counselor, that had long hair and wore a straw hat. He was actually a great teacher showing us stuff in the forest and was really funny. I remember getting paired up with a cute classmate and having to lead each other in the woods blindfolded. I remember the counselors setting up a hide and seek type game for us one night after dark. I remember the burnt chicken nuggets at lunch. But most of all, other then the girls getting pantsed which I certainly didn't mind, I remember that all of us classmates got along. Clicks seemed to disappear there. My favorite field trip that was just a day was the waste water treatment center. I was a pretty strange kid at 12. Oh I'll be around! Probably the right answer. That is funny. I never noticed any divide like that. But then again I was there to talk about movies. Not politics. Couldn't they just have gotten rid of the politics board? I would go there from time to time but it was all nauseating to read. I can't believe it got that bad. Can u elaborate? They definitely didn't archive all. It's like there are just fragments, fossils really, of the old imdb here on moviechat. That's the bad part. IMDB'ers split into to different sites. It did take years to build everything up, but, and correct me if I'm wrong, moviechat doesn't offer all the other movie info imdb does. It's like I go to two different sites now-this one to chat and imdb to learn some things. Yes I loved that you could always find fans of any movie on your mind. It really was the perfect movie site. So comprehensive. I still to this day don't understand why they got rid of the message board section. What was the point? For the most part I thought Necronomicon the movie was lousy but as I said the last story was excellent. Being trapped with weird alien flying creatures that will eat your...bone marrow...by sucking it out of you is pretty dire! Great story about Fire In the Sky. I was only 10 when it came out but my brother was in high school and had just gotten his license so that year he would take me to the movies a lot on Friday nights and I'm sure that would have been a great date movie if u wanted your date to be grabbing onto you the whole time. I remember everyone in the theater being scared AF during the infamous abduction. I thought the opening 20 minutes were great and the abduction the first time seeing it, but over the years I've rewatched it many times and really love the whole thing now. The music in Cannibal Holocaust is great and really gives the movie different feels. The light melodic stuff with the overhead jungle scenes and of course the twisted macabre for the nasty scenes. No offense to moviechat, but I really liked it because it was such an active site. It seemed like any movie, however obscure it may be, I could get plenty of feedback quickly. Even with the trolls that became a pain the last couple years I still got a lot out of it. And there were people I knew on there for over 10 years. I'm still angry about it being gone. I am grateful I found this site though. Maybe you need your hearing checked. I just re watched it and could understand fine. No movies I can recall, but if anyone here remembers a TV show in the 90's called "Sightings", and you remember the alien face during the opening credits, then you will understand my continual nightmare I had when I was 9 or 10 or so. In case you don't remember, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79HmgT9pbvI Here's mine, with a few classic popular choices and a few personal favs I know aren't typically on lists: Dawn of the Dead Return of the Living Dead Day of the Dead Night Of The Living Dead (1990) The Gate Texas Chainsaw Massacre Alien Poltergeist Dead Alive 28 Days Later The Void Night of The Demons Creepshow Jeepers Creepers Cannibal Holocaust Fire In The Sky Honorable Mention: The final tale from Necronomican: Book Of the Dead titled "The Butcher". The rest of the movie sucks but that specific portion is terrifying imo. Also Fire in the Sky is obviously more sci fi then horror but isn't Alien also kinda sci fi? And ftr, I don't think Fire In The Sky is scary beginning to end but that abduction scene makes it all worth it. I know there are a BUNCH I am forgetting about. And yes I am definitely a George Romero fan. And I'm definitely not picking purely scary movies but my personal favorites. Night of the Demons isn't too scary but it's fun and I like it so there. I've only watched the nude scenes. People in general went out in the world to explore their interests, whether it be music, film, the arts, nature, etc. These days, aside from a great nature hike, most anything else can be experienced on your phone or laptop. I definitely miss the old days that I took for granted then. I graduated HS in 2001, so I was a teenager in the early days of the internet, when it was a curiosity more then what controlled our lived daily. I remember spending the night at my friend's house in fall of 95 and that was the first place I had really seen the internet at work. Being in Ohio, I remember being just floored that we were "chatting" with someone in Florida. Just seemed unreal and blew my mine. The dial up noise was and is still weird sounding. As much as I resent what the internet, social media, and smartphones have turned most of us into, people only interested in their screens, I also have to admit I love so much about it. What better place to complain about the internet and reminisce about yesteryear with other old timers then on the internet. YouTube is my favorite thing to watch. It's outstanding for anyone that loves to relive old shows, commercials, moments in history. I do love many things about today, but I personally feel that Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have hurt more then help. YouTube probably has as well but I'm selfish and like youtube. Haha if I recall, the actor that played Wyatt did end up becoming a college professor. She should've divorced her husband and got bank with Chuck. Life is complicated. The love of her life DIDN'T die, so she would have had every right to go back to him. Unlikely Chuck would've been interested in being a stepdad to her kid, but I think that would have been a great ending. Yes and my favorites are Raising Cane's Cane Sauce, Blue Cheese, Mayo, and I like dipping sweet things in whipped cream but I think that's considered a topping. Well you should definitely check it out! It's a fun movie, and if you find Maria Bello hot, which btw most of us do, you would especially like seeing her booty in this film.
