She didn't waste anytime finding someone else.
The "Love of his Life" waited only a few months before she moved on and found some one else.
Makes me wonder if she was involved with the new guy prior to loosing Chuck.

The plane went down in the middle of the Pacific ocean. They spent weeks searching for wreckage and survivors without success. There was no reasonable chance that Chuck was still alive. Why shoudn't she move on?

Fowler's knots? Did you say ... fowler's knots?
But without missing a beat? I agree with Roses888.
shareIt's a really sad situation. I wouldn't expect somebody to never move on, but I agree that it seemed a bit soon.

The ships were searching for Chuck for four years i wonder why they didn't find him sooner.
shareThe search probably only lasted days or weeks
Because of the storm, the plane deviated from its planned route and could not use its radio to inform any ground stations of its location.

That part always made me so sad. I always thought she felt like everyone else expected her to move on, especially once he was declared dead. I don't think she wanted to move on. I don't think she ever really did. She would have left with him if he'd asked. She was still in love with him, never fell out. Personally, I don't think I would have ever moved on. But each person is different.

I noticed that when Chuck came to see her at the house she kept saying little negatives about her "new" life.
"Nice house" is followed by "with a nice mortgage."
"Cute kid" gets the response "she's a handful."
Neither of these two things are really a big deal or even unexpected, but I found it interesting that those are the things she decides to bring up.
In that case, I wonder if she's sorry she married the guy and had waited a little while longer until she was ready to move on. Or if it was a rebound romance. Or maybe they were having trouble in the marriage. Or maybe she was trying to make Tom Hanks feel better. Idunno

He lifts me clear to the sky, you know he taught me to fly.
He was on the island for 1500 days figure another month at sea and another four weeks when he's on the plane. Heck just round it up 5 years. The kid looked to be two maybe three years old. So she waited about 2 years
shareShe did what any typical, Starbucks drinking woman would have done. Most women would have "moved-on" sooner.
shareYes it was pretty quick. When I met my future wife we dated 3 years and married after 5 years of being together. I know everyone is different but that did seem to quick for her.
shareFour years is long enough. She probably grieved for a year or two. Met the other guy, dated six months, married, had a baby. OR maybe she had to marry him because she got pregnant. Who knows.

She should've divorced her husband and got bank with Chuck. Life is complicated. The love of her life DIDN'T die, so she would have had every right to go back to him. Unlikely Chuck would've been interested in being a stepdad to her kid, but I think that would have been a great ending.
