He could have done a great Wolverine way back in the day, with those Popeye forearms and irascible demeanor.
I have read it will include the fall of the watchers, aka fallen angels, as well as the 3 days Jesus was in Hades before he was resurrected. Randall Wallace did the original story and Gibson did a rewrite/made additions to it. From the interviews I have heard Mel give about the story it will be anything but a straightforward rehashing of previously known source material. He has all but promised to go where no one has gone before, specifically the time between Jesus’s death and his resurrection. Where He was, what He did and what he accomplished. I expect that to be a large part of the story. And I trust Mel to deliver, though I am sure artistic embellishments will be made.
Right on. I also heard that production was underway. It has a release date now of 2024.
Who the fuck knew ANYTHING about this story before Mel Gibson made the movie, besides Scots and historians? Exactly no one. Its not a documentary. Its a great film and it has everything. Its an incredible achievement in storytelling.
She has been in the world underground being used as a sex slave?
Yeah that was a nice thread it sucked what happened to Rooney. Had they continued with that dynamic it would have been a much better film. Two guys who don’t like each other but like each other.
Yeah, identity politics is so played out. Its just boring and moronic now. Hey here is a news flash we’re are all here in the same place struggling, its only the elite dividing us for their own benefit. Just wake up.
I had Farrah’s poster but liked Jackie more. 😂😂😂
No, not true. The movies bad and ridiculous but Hackman is Hackman. He did his job in this stinker. Hes the only redeeming part of it.
Its really a very genuine and authentic portrayal. The acting is top notch. Kathy Baker is amazing.
Good for her. You always provide good info Paladin. Your one of my favorite commenters.
Indeed. Was always rooting for him to turn it around. He was one of those elevating character actors, whatever he was in he made it better. And so many films I loved and he always made them that much better. What a filmography.
Good one. I know that’s a callback reference but I can’t place it at this moment. Likely a Michael Mann film though…
Sometimes nothing is a really cool hand.
No, that the 90’s were the last good decade of filmmaking.
Its an amazing character study based in survivors guilt and grief.
Thats what I was thinking too. Most likely for The Passion 2.
Yeah, Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!!! As if.
Thats one of the best for sure but mine is when Arnie says “Ok, show me.” and Christine rebuilds herself. That was a real shock moment seeing it the first time. It was the absolute confirmation that Christine was spooky.
Most actors don’t.
