Yeah I hear ya. It makes you wonder if the point of the story is to say that some mom’s secretly hate their children or their decision to be mothers.
It was an excellent decade for film, perhaps the last.
That is an excellent perspective and review of the experience. And yes it is a horrible movie.

It really was a big pile of disappointing trash. Even the cameos from the OG’s did not feel triumphant as they should but rather awkward and anti-climatic.
Uggh, poor direction, bad writing, that horrible boyfriend character that acts more like a girl than a dude. It had a couple of decent action pieces but overall it felt very soapy with all that boyfriend/girlfriend relationship drama as the primary plot line. After rewatching it recently I realized Harvey Keitel has played a cleaner character twice which I thought was notable. I do give this film credit for that because I cant remember ever seeing a cleaner prior to this film.
Oh yeah TLKG is a good one. And your probably right that this was never as good as I thought it was.
Episode 1 would be called Golden boy, I love Golden boy.

I respect your opinion. I cant even bring myself to watch it free because it does nothing for me. I dont know the characters and the actors are meh. Not just gonna watch every Marvel story like other people.
Interestingly Licorice Pizza was the name of a record store in the area when PTA was growing up. A record=Licorice pizza. Still a weird name to go with as the title though.
