a really poor film no wonder I had never seen it

I am a big spy/thriller fan,a Frankenheimer fan and even a Michael Caine fan so when I saw this on dvd I bought it.

It is a really poor film, the plot is confusing the acting awful (Caine was last minute replacement and had not seen the script).

I am pretty sure I had never seen it before,I don't recall it ever being on tv and I don't recall seeing the dvd before tv.

The dvd I bought (in the UK)was a disgrace,it was like a film through a dirty window.

A forgotten film and it deserves to be forgotten.

Oh.

Frankenheimer's last great film was "Black Sunday." Unfortunately, he seemed to lose focus on telling good stories after that.

Ronin?

reply

You're right! I forget that he directed that sometimes.

reply

Lol, np.

reply

Sorry you feel that way, I really like it.

reply

I think it’s one of Caine’s best.

I recently saw it on UK TV, and it looked like it was shot on 16mm and transferred onto video.
