They have a more logical focus of feeling the need to build a modern civilization. They don't romanticize living in a mud hut and eating chickens they raised, as some white people do.
This isn't a new issue.
Everyone is doing exactly what they will and can do. But, most people, like billions, have no control over their daily products, need for cars, etc. This has been a topic since the 60s and almost nothing has changed and that's because it can't change.
No one can do anything about what she's asking for.
No one can stop making all the products needed, make it so multiple types of the same product are made, thus closing down businesses, and no one can stop people from needing cars, etc. She's asking society to basically stop functioning and she has no replacement ideas.
The hotel season was the best.
It was fun, interesting, and made me want to watch it.
The other seasons I've seen seem to have weak stories with a lot of graphic perverted violence. It's made me question people who like the show, to be quite honest.
He looks like Anthony Bourdain a bit, who is much taller.
There's facial analyzers online and mine comes across as 98% masculine. How do you think Bogart's face would rate given his features? It' wouldn't show as feminine at all.
In addition, most males are average 5 8 in the states and back then I'm sure he was normal. Also, he was in the military and a regular guy. He came across that way too. Back then, you didn't need to know Kung Fu or do crazy stunts to be considered a man.
He said that on David Letterman when he was a guest.
Could be.
However, real actresses, business people, etc tend to work their way up from the bottom. People who got to the top instantly tend to be shady in my experience.
For instance, I really like Yul Brenner but her was a heroin dealer and that's how he got into movie. Idris Ilba was a drug dealer and that's how he is in movies. These people didn't work their way up.
He's a stereotype of a jewish moneymaker.
They create crap products that aren't well made, but are hyped, etc but are junk. Instead of something material like a toaster, he makes stories that are fraudulent.
The only reason his films look good is due to the technology. If not they would be Ed Wood level cheap crap.
We don't know that though.
She appeared "tough" to me and angry looking, much like prostitutes I've known. I work in the crime field, by the way.
Joan Crawford likely had severe Borderline Personality Disorder and was probably a huge whore on top of it.
These actresses were huge and in some very good movies, but it was the same story back then as today.
Becall was not attractive compared to many women back then.
We all know how modern Harvey Weinstien works and so just imagine what it was like back then. Perhaps she got places by what she did behind the scenes.
He masculine looking which was popular back then. The pretty boy thing didn't start until the 70s and 80s.
Bogart is the kind of guy you'd want by your side in WWII and he had that attitude too. He usually played a "can do" kind of man who was crafty and intelligent.
I'm sure that was very attractive back then.
The biggest one is the "elsewhere" thing where even Nolan's Batman was like that. Meanwhile, Marvel did the complete opposite and had massive success.
I think most people hate Elsewhere stories because it robs all of the stuff we love about the character, the story as a whole, and so on.
You can't get more famous than Batman and Joker. Probably Billions of people who many generations, know them, but hey, let's pretend none of that exists and just make a Joker movie!
Someone special will have to convince me to pay to see this thing.
The only way this could be truly good is if it takes place in our world, The Joker is a comic book character, and this guy decides to become him. That would be similar to the Denver murderer.
If it's supposed to be the actual Joker and there's no DC universe, that is stupid to the point where I won't see it or will watch it for free.
He looks older than Pitt who has had a little plastic surgery. He used to have deep lines over his cheekbones and now they're gone.
The real golden age was in the late 30s through the 40s.
Films had real stories, many great actors, and there were many many quality films. That's why channels like Turner Classic Movies is on and has enough programming to watch for a long time.
In that period in Hollywood they had real writers, who were famous, writing scripts and serious actors. Then, Hollywood went to the model where a bunch of jews would hire their relatives to write movies and adapt books, and they have been doing it very poorly. That is to keep the profits in their cult by not hiring outsiders, which again is a practice of theirs.
I agree about the haunting movie.
If it was a high quality film about her that would be one thing, but mixing in trivial magical bullshit was disgusting.
I want to know, who pays to make these films?!
I never turn a movie off or not finish a book, but an hour into it last night and I turned it off. I feeling it wouldn't be good and so I didn't see it at the movies.
Anyway, it was weirdly slow and boring with very little wit or snappy dialogue. Even the Bruce Lee scene was kinda boring, the actor was great, but it didn't come off as this great moment, but kinda like a Saturday Night Live skit.
Did anything exciting or unexpected happen after can hour?
Also, I hate QT sometimes. He thinks he's smart but he's not.
You will not go to jail for killing someone in self-defense.
However, it used to be the case, and may be still, that a boxer, etc will be seen as a killer if he fights and kills someone no matter what. That's because they are seen as a person trained in how to severely harm someone. So, that scene is stupid.
I enjoyed the interview link.
I can tell he was a very smart and interesting guy. If he had moments of human weakness it's understandable as he was one of the only people like that in a society that wasn't too cool with Asian peple after all the wars.
Even now we have no Asian celebrities, at all, who are anywhere near as famous.
