So how do you think will happen with Ryan/Jack?
I think the guy at the bar is with the company, and will either kill him, or try to figure out if he's a danger. He is after all a great chef, so maybe they will try to keep him alive. I think the second option is more likely. Plus Ryan seamed to somehow accept his fate at the end.

They giy at the bar is just a random. It just mirrors how the main character felt at the start about the lifestyle. They put a gps chip in him as well. They definitely plan to keep him around. And I think he did accept his fate.
