That was a fun read. It's pretty amazing there aren't more mishaps since it's a live show. As a non-dancer, I'm impressed every week by what they do! I think the real awkward stuff is when partners don't get along. I remember a couple of weird situations written about at the link and they still make me feel uncomfortable, lol.
It was a really good season. I would have been happy with any of the finalists winning. I think Ally was technically the best, Kel the most fun to watch, Hannah was certainly lovely, and Lauren improved a lot, I think. I couldn't get the finale to play because of our internet so that's pretty disappointing. Tried all week. I was only able to piece together some of the show by watching clips on YouTube. 😒. Thanks for posting some of what happened!

Yeah, the opening was pretty dumb, and too bad about Cher. That would have been interesting.
But it was quite a night. So sad, but had such beauty. I loved the dresses and the emotional choreography brought tears. They're all talented, but I figured Lauren would have gone home before James. Will the judges pick the winner?

I don't know the first performer I remember. Maybe Marie Osmond? I didn't watch shows at the beginning, I think I just caught highlights somewhere. I think the first season I watched was maybe 11?

Was finally able to watch it this morning. WiFi has been a pain. I agree with you about the short dances. They were like teasers.
I always love Len, cranky or not, lol. And Joey is fun, too. He needs a better outlet for his talents than the game show he hosts. I don't remember the first season of DWTS I watched, but I think it was after he was on. I think I would remember a Star Wars dance.
You're probably right about the final two, but I personally enjoy watching Hannah and Kel more. Not sure why.
Yeah, the effects on this episode added a lot. The sets have been disappointing this season and they finally got it together. Very nice.
And yeah, Spicer lasted way too long. But I did appreciate his positive attitude and that he worked hard to improve. For someone with no talent, he actually learned to do a little dancing.
