Both are hallmarks of Julian Fellowes’s work. (Except for Titanic, which could only end with the ship sinking and loss of many lives.)
The final big reveal happened off-camera:
That’s typical of Julian Fellowes. There were so many instances of it in Downton Abbey. He did it in Doctor Thorne, too.
What a letdown for viewers.
I hope it stops at one series. That’s where the book ends.
Have you read the novel?
This isn’t an “upstairs, downstairs” type story, the way Downton Abbey was/is.
They’re still covering up. More people should have been fired, especially the executives who made those decisions.
Yes, he did lie. However, tptb were also lying. They knew about his criminal behavior for years, and conspired and colluded to protect him so that they could keep him. They wanted to keep Lauer so badly that they had no concern for the women he was harassing, raping, and whose careers he deliberately ruined.
And they helped.
I actually don’t think one is worse than the other. Both raped numerous women. Cosby gave them drugs, which might give him the edge. But honestly, both perpetrators are despicable, vile, and criminal.
Oh, come on. Yoko is ten times worse.
Admitting that he groped the breast of a model. And in the audio (Recorded by NYPD) he is BEGGING her to come into his hotel room.
lmao. Try again, troll.
Needy, attention-seeking, desperate, and really really sick.
Just wanted to add that I “cheat” when watching documentaries. I hate the way they try to manipulate emotions, slanting the story and holding back important info until the final few minutes. I don’t appreciate being manipulated like that so I cheat by reading facts as I watch, so I know when I am being misled and am able to make up my own mind with all the facts.
You do realize that at that time, people could have little money and still have servants? Servants were cheap compared to the expense of something like keeping horses.
Btw, are you and kuku twins?
Starting to suspect its a troll.
The cases I read, he had them go to his room for a “meeting.” A meeting that was initially scheduled somewhere else, e.g. office or public place, then moved to hotel restaurant or bar, then when the woman arrives she’s told he’s upstairs in his room.
Plus, there’s an audio recording of weinstein admitting it.
Using the word casually? your 20th century definition of rape is extremely out of date.
This article in Time explains that the final ep reveals all the holes in Stewart’s story. Furthermore, it also reveals that Stewart deliberately lied to the author of the book (Mustafa?), giving her details that he claimed matched a police report (apparently untrue).

Wealthy, powerful defendants are rarely convicted, even when they are guilty.
Female victims are rarely believed.
Ahh, the chocolate box version. Very pretty. (Dances are wrong for the period, costumes are artistic interpretations and not really accurate). Very obvious who the hero is (unfortunately).
She and her mother and sister lived at Chawton Cottage Only because her brother generously gave them the use of a cottage on his estate. Edward nearly lost the Chawton estate due to a challenge to the will that left it to him. He had to fight a very expensive court case in order to keep it.
The three women had very little money between them. Cassandra had a small inheritance from her fiance who died, and the naval brothers occasionally helped financially. Henry helped when he could, but had his own problems when his bank failed. Jane, Cassandra and Mrs. Austen lived like Mrs. and Miss Bates, not Mr. and Mrs. Bennet.
Doesn’t say much for his taste in women. Stay away from golddiggers.
