Yeah it's been awhile since I've seen that scene. But it’s a college movie. And it’s not like those girls didn’t deserve it. I thought it was pretty cool. Yeah I was bummed he wasn’t in the rest of the movie, but it was sort of a plot twist that he died. And he goes out like a G: Kurt Russel: “We’re not gonna make it!” Seagal: “You are!” Lame. The movie is perfect the way it is. Everything makes sense in context, whether or not it’s morally right. I didn’t think having the original cast would’ve made any sense. It takes place when the original characters were really young. Yeah it might even be better then the original. I actually liked Solo. Not saying it’s great, but what was so bad about it? 10/10. It’s as good as it gets as far as sports comedies go. I went to school in the 2000s, and the girls had a club which had hazing as part of the initiation. Yeah, and he still gets bullied himself. Billy’s a good guy. Don’t know anything about the real Coach Boone, but that was not an easy character for Denzel to play. I mean, she was solid in 8 Mile. Kind of kept the movie grounded and chill. And Clueless, I grew up with that movie and loved Ty, or Tai,...”whatever”. Of course she was also featured in a couple of episodes of Boy Meets World, playing Trini, Topanga’s bff, in season 3 I believe. Of course LouAnn Platter from “King of the Hill” is an all-time favorite character of many people, and not just white trash folk. Which one was Gia? Do you mean Stephanie? Lol. Any movies you can point to that come close to be as liberated as what you’re talking about? Tbh, Porky’s was pretty radical! He probably didn’t think it was going to be a big deal as long as his folks cleaned up the mess. I mean what was he supposed to do...the little dude was living large tho. I’ve never seen the other movies, but I will admit that it’s easy to view it as a lifetime achievement award, since Connery was the oldest nominee by far. Has Connery been nominated any other time? Just wondering. Who else was up for it that year? He killed in Jingle All the Way. Let’s just all agree on The Wizard of Oz. Everyone on earth seems to think it’s a great and fun film. This is going off on a tangent, and while I do like Mitchum’s movies, I’ve never seen Out of the Past. Yet, I will say that I was watching a YouTube video of GQ having Mark Ruffalo break down his “iconic” roles (Kids Are Alright, Foxcatcher, Zodiac, Spotlight, HULK...13 Going On 30), and he mentioned how on Shutter Island, Marty Scorsese wanted Mark and Leo to watch all these old noirs, including Out of the Past, I’m pretty sure. Anyway, Ruffalo just asked Scorsese if he could just act out his character using a Robert Mitchum impression. Martin Scorsese told him, “Uhhhh...yeah sure, try whatever you want!”
