I actually quite enjoyed it! Went in with very low expectations and had just finished The Idol, which is definitely one of the worst series I've ever seen.
Her character in Poker Face was inspired by Peter Falk's Columbo. That's why she speaks that way.
It's mostly set in the 70s. The murder took place in 1980 and they go back 2 years to the start of the affair.
The actors playing this couple are together in real life, so the looks argument doesn't work for those saying she could only have married him for money. I think she was lonely and sad after her alcoholic husband died, and George showed her kindness that led to love.

After watching this movie I watched the series, and agree it was fantastic. Much better story as told over a series.

I've only watched up to episode 2 so far but I assume the NDA prevented Isaac from disclosing the abuse to a therapist, as they would have mandatory reporting requirements. If I were in these parents' position I would have used 1 million pounds of the compensation money to pay a professional to end Jotham's life.
It does get better, so I hope you kept watching. I think they were just trying to show that the couple were charismatic, as otherwise they would not have been able to draw victims in and get away with all that they did.
I would also recommend the show The Investigation mentioned by the previous poster as that is fantastic. I found both to be interesting and worth watching.

I think based on someone like Comedian Jim Davidson who was arrested as part of Operation Yewtree, but retained public support and had charges dropped. Even went on to win Celebrity Big Brother. You'd be surprised what a lot of famous men of that age group have done to others and got away with completely.

If she has EDS and ASD they both come with a host of other - very genuine - physical and mental ailments, so there is every chance her issues are real rather than perceived. In my work I deal with clients with complex needs like this.

hahaha you can tell the blokes commenting here are fugly! You never see gorgeous men putting down women and picking apart their appearance, age etc. So sorry fellas, that these ladies would never have looked at you twice, ever, when they were young or now they're older and still beautiful. :)
