I would have thought the basis for this is generic. It'll probably prove to have hints and shadows from every high profile case with similar themes plus elements that are added as the script writer felt necessary to do.
shareI think based on someone like Comedian Jim Davidson who was arrested as part of Operation Yewtree, but retained public support and had charges dropped. Even went on to win Celebrity Big Brother. You'd be surprised what a lot of famous men of that age group have done to others and got away with completely.
