Of course they won't. But that's okay. All they're doing is proving the other side's point that condemning Bryant as a rapist based on an allegation (without giving him the benefit of the doubt) was racist.

Indeed. Guilty upon accusation, even after retracted in the face of rabidly dissolving credibility but never mind that. Let's just go on pretending that the common denominator of this double standard is purely coincidental.

As far as we know Kirk never admitted it anywhere, well, certainly not in an official statement to the world. Koby did.

I wonder if it has to do with the age of both of them. Kirk Douglas might be known to people now, but he's not a huge superstar like he was back in his heyday. He's just some old guy people's parents knew about. If they hear a story about him, they just believe it because they don't care about him. But Kobe was a current superstar, & people don't want to believe bad stories about him (even if they're easily googled), plus Kobe died young with his daughter & Kirk lived a very long life to 103.
