There seems to be two possible reasons: Robert DeNiro does a lot of bad films to finance his other business ventures; while Nicolas Cage does it because he’s massively in debt. I thought that the first part of the film (up until the military lost control at the airport) was genuinely immersive. Talk about profit driven. Accounts can be set up solely to tweet a specific issue. It's almost a game played by people to get certain hashtags trending on a certain day, or to shape the narrative around Zack Snyder that he's some kind of "anti-establishment underdog" instead of a Hollywood director with a background in advertising. Twitter also encourages this kind of thing - when these types of emotionally charged hyper-partisan discussions emerge, users eat it up. Just when it seemed like America was done capitulating to the will of its most toxic online communities, a massive telecom — potentially throwing good money after bad in a desperate bid to feed its insatiable new streaming platform — has decided to validate the movie world’s very own QAnon and #ReleaseTheSnyderCut. Congratulations to all of the keyboard warriors out there who recommitted their adult lives to tweeting death threats at film critics, you guys have truly proven yourselves worthy stewards of Superman’s legacy." I had zero emotional investment (or even general interest) in Tom Holland’s character. One of my favourites of the year. The weight gain and makeup made her almost unrecognizable. As a non-American, I’m fascinated by how pop culture and politics are so heavily intertwined over there at the moment. The actual storyline with Baby Yoda was undercooked. For me, ‘Star Wars’ is purely about watching bleeding edge visuals and sound design on the biggest screen with huge speakers. It’s a showcase of what blockbuster cinema can do. Yes, amongst other things, ‘The Nest’ gives you an interesting perspective on what motivates the kind of ambitious (to the point of delusion) executive that Law portrays.
