The documentary director ('Icarus') takes companies doing business with Saudi Arabia to task in his new film chronicling the murder of Jamal Khashoggi and says he wants viewers to voice "their own form of dissent."

But we came to Sundance, Hillary Clinton was at my premiere, Alec Baldwin, Reed Hastings was there, heads of Apple and major execs from Amazon and Hulu and etc., etc., were there at the premiere and none of them stepped up to acquire the film.

It's surreal to me that Bryan Fogel's 'Icarus' won Netflix it's first Oscar, a huge milestone for the company and streaming platforms, but they were too afraid of offending Saudi Arabia to acquire Fogel's next film, 'The Dissident'. Talk about profit driven.
