It means that you will never get to rally all two fans of Ghostbusters (2017) to make the studios release a better, inexistent cut.

The fans are ALWAYS right: although not a great movie the SCJL proved to be, undeniable, a far better product than the original movie.

So he's somehow retroactively blaming the mess of the the past 10 years (bad streaming content and bad movies) on the fans for not just sheepishly accepting their beloved stories and characters being crapped on. They acknowledge the Whedon version was trash but somehow insist that fans have no right to expect better. Apparently anyone who doesn't blindly eat up whatever nonsense they are fed is now "toxic".
