āWilma, I promise you-whatever scum did this, not one man on this force will rest one minute until heās behind barsā¦Now, letās grab a bite to eat.ā
Any of the Naked Gun films. Works a charm every time.
The Queenās Gambit
Iād go so far as to say that itās not only the best King Arthur adaptation but also one of my favourite films full stop.
I could write a long list of reasons for why that is but it takes me to another place and time with every watch. Itās utterly magical.
I think itās a pretty common phenomenon so donāt worry.
If it helps, Iām a 29 year old woman and can be a little nervous around guys who I consider to be attractive. Itās dependent upon their outward confidence though as well- I find it to be a little intimidating and will hold back a bit in conversation. Rightfully or wrongfully itās a feeling of being out of someoneās league but ultimately weāre all human and looks donāt last.
Donāt they say that life begins at forty? Happy birthday š„³
Yeah I barely remember a scene and just found it to be a complete drag. Iām all for giving it another chance though one day.
Yeah thatās exactly what happened to me too. š My friends had a big impact on my way of thinking also (they taught me to lighten up a bit and accept that āsillyā films can be just as meaningful as critically successful films).
There are a handful of silly movies that Iāve always had an affection for, so I try to give everything a chance now. Not denying that Iāve seen some truly atrocious movies lately but I think itās been worth it.
Tea for One- Led Zeppelin. (So underrated damn it!) š
I wasnāt a massive fan of Platoon, if you can call that a classic movie.
I used to watch movies only highly recommended or reviewed positively, and I ended up enjoying about 90% of them.
Since then Iāve mellowed down a bit and give everything a chance now without prejudice. Everything can be a bit hit and miss nowadays but at least Iām seeing films that would never have stood a chance before.
I second this. I was hesitating to say my absolute favourite because tastes change, but itās so high up there that it may as well be.
Frogs by Alice in Chains

I guess that does help somewhat š thanks. Not to denounce Mr Pigott-Smith because he was a great actor, but some other posters here have much more interesting answers.
And as for Rugby- itās hard enough trying to explain to people that I wasnāt actually born on a Rugby pitch.
Just did a quick DuckDuckGo search because I wasnāt born in a city and the only claim to fame I have is the actor Tim Pigott-Smith. š
Yeah, itās a shame because I feel that it does the best it can. I guess the only way around it is to share it with as many people as possible to keep it āaliveā.
Oh my god you replied to me š±
I mean thank you āŗļø Itās been my name on many a site and Iāve grown quite attached now.
Agreed completely. I used to watch this film a lot as a child and remember loving the story and humour. I never see it repeated on tv anymore and I think itās a shame as I donāt see anything outwardly wrong with it or unappealing.
