Have you liked most of the movies you've ever seen?

Not me. I'd say 40% were good and 10% were great.

reply

Yes, I'm fairly choosey.

I enjoy at least 95%. I just watched "12 Angry Men". Powerful. I'm rewatching.

reply

95%?!?!

A bad movie experience for me is if it's so boring that I fast forward and pray for it to end. I hated Cloverfield.

reply

I think I've liked a lot of them. Very few of them I've felt that I wasted my time, and even fewer have I stopped. I think with streaming we have access to a lot more crap, but I usually do pick movies that I think I will like.

reply

I feel like I've wasted my time often. But usually for movies I'm skeptical about and decide to give a chance.

reply

I can usually find enjoyment in even bad movies. I don't think I'd ever stopped a movie until streaming.

I used to watch movies only highly recommended or reviewed positively, and I ended up enjoying about 90% of them.

Since then I’ve mellowed down a bit and give everything a chance now without prejudice. Everything can be a bit hit and miss nowadays but at least I’m seeing films that would never have stood a chance before.

reply

I used to do what you did as well. But then I started running out of movies to watch and I've been more open to them. But that opened a door of so much mediocrity.

reply

Yeah that’s exactly what happened to me too. 😂 My friends had a big impact on my way of thinking also (they taught me to lighten up a bit and accept that ‘silly’ films can be just as meaningful as critically successful films).

There are a handful of silly movies that I’ve always had an affection for, so I try to give everything a chance now. Not denying that I’ve seen some truly atrocious movies lately but I think it’s been worth it.

reply

I am about the same, samoanjoes. Maybe just a little less though. I would have said 30%/10% but I have not actually done the math.

reply

I try to stick to a 10-15 minute rule, if it doesn't grab me by then I pull the plug on it

So, yes I've somewhat enjoyed or really liked most of them I've sat through

reply

But what if it starts getting good at the 16 minute mark?

reply

What if Bugs Bunny had made the
left turn at Albuquerque..?

We all have to accept that 'chance' is a part of life and also to just keep eating carrots🥕🐰

reply

But what if instead of spelling it
"Albuquerque", we spelled it "Albakurkey". It's so much easier.
