I didn't particularly like how they continued to kill for little or no reason. Offing Mallory's father was one thing, but they just kept at it. Hoping the scene at the end implies they had moved on from that life. I feel for everyone with a spinal cord injury, but CR's hit me really hard. Adult me cannot deny the beauty here either. The diversity they had seemed pushed. If you're going to make a diverse cast, at least make them strong likeable characters. Agreed. I'm glad that it is going away. I have no issues with Tilley's body shape, but her character and all of the others are just a bunch of whiney office bitches. They belong in some mail room filing papers with their attitudes. I thought David could not stay the funeral because of his own demons having felt weak and violated after being assaulted. Too bad Dexter could not have jumped in during the assault and taken David's place. That would have been a good episode. It was a decent show. I guess the moral of the show was everyone dies and you should try to be happy while you are here. Even if most of the characters seemed to not live their lives that way. I really could not stand Ruth. She was a nut job. I've known too many people like Nate as well. On the surface trying to appear to be a great guy, but underneath it all, a real piece of shit who left everyone he came in contact with worse for wear. I would have strapped Claire to the gurney myself and embalmed her while she was still alive. Real piece of entitlement mentality crap. I came to expect it. I always tried to guess who it was and how old they were. Never got the age right on the nose. I've lived in Florida for half a century. I've been to every beach here there is. There are no hills like that, except some bays on the North West coast which is not where the pirates were. It reminds me of an old A-Team episode where they went to Miami and there were mountains in the background. Just poor location planning. This seems to be a standard in these kind of movies. Earth spends every last penny to send a bunch of emotional and unprofessional buffoons into space. I thought that's what that was. Man, On the Beach was a real uplifting flick. lol Honestly not horrible for a Netflix movie. And comparing it to other Netflix movies only, it could be a 9/10. Nailed it. Kept me watching. That's a pretty good write up. It did have that "let's send out some woke messages at the expense of a decent story" feel to it. I'm all for equality and a progressive future, but not at the expense of good writing. Not a bad review. I don't think I would watch it again either but glad I saw it once? Well the humor or lack thereof was a big part of the problem. It just wasn't that funny. It was an example of where poor writing is excused because it pushed a popular woke agenda. They could have had the same agenda with a hilarious movie and I would have a different opinion. I have to admit, I am watching it for the first time right now, and I'm not overly impressed. This works as an average 50s musical, but I am not sure how it is such a Christmas tradition. I mean, I see Die Hard as more of a Christmas movie. As far as 50s musicals go, Singin in the Rain, 7 Brides For 7 Brothers, and even Brigadoon were much better than this. The song White Christmas is of course a classic by itself. There were way too many fat jokes in this movie. I'm all for people losing weight, but it seemed a bit much. I did get kind of bored and went to Wiki as well, although I did finish it.
