And why don't participate in other threads? You have only a dozen messages here, and all of them have been to attack me in this thread and in the Witcher one.
I'm flattered that you only have eyes for me in this forum 😄 but you should try to socialize with other people. Bye.
Go to imdb and look for "Storyline". You have there the plot described. You're welcome.
And I said, it fits what I predicted. You don't get more insightful than that. :-)
I was very insightful. I was so insightful that I could even predict the argument of the movie.
That was predictable. They can't fire her without being accused of being misogynist. And at the same time audiences are in fast decline. BBC made its bed, and now they don't know how to fix it.
<blockquote>To be fair I’ve never really understood what wokeness is at all</blockquote>
If you don't understand the term, then why the hell you defined Sarah-Jane Smith in 1973 as woke?. "<i>I don't understand what's Taoism, but this is sooo Taoist</i>". Brilliant.
<blockquote>Straight up Doctor Who has always been progressive</blockquote>
'Progressive' is a term that meant completely different things in different periods. The KKK was founded by progressive people. 50 years ago progressive meant classic liberalism. Nowadays progressive means wokeness. Camille Paglia was feminist according to classic feminism, nowadays she's assigned to far-right. Modern Doctor Whoke has zero relation with 70s Doctor Who.
You can do whatever you want. I have quite some respect for classic liberalism and classic feminism, for what matters, which are ideologies with zero relation with wokeness.
Nothing.
'Feminist' in 1973 had a completely different meaning, it was much more related to classic liberalism. While the roots of wokeness were already planted, it didn't become a mainstream trend until the 90s.
Marvel is like Burger King: it works because it's predictable, repetitive and addictive... but after a while people miss real food. That's already happening, and it's the reason why the Joker had such success.
Not to say Marvel started to inject woke doctrine in the franchise. And while some people may like it, most people won't like politics with their cheese burger.
Rob Reed has a cover too, with an Oldfield-style solo included. Not bad.

The movie is amazing. It has that eerie pagan mood which I haven't found in any other movie. There was a series I loved when I was a kid, the Children of the Stones one, it's the only thing I can think that gets that mood.
You're next.
The Willow's Song scene is amazing

Ok. I'll post it in my next pomodoro break.

12. Six Days Seven Nights (1998)
13. La Cabina (1972). A man gets trapped in a phone box and asks for help. Everybody thinks he's fooling. It starts funny, but it becomes more and more scary.
She tried to become a real actress, now she's trying to become a youtuber.
Actually, that's wise. She left porn before it was too late and she's trying to get a career in other fields. She lacks real talent, but she's smart, that's sure.
I don't think so. Dont' get me wrong, GotG is my favorite movie in the Marvel franchise, far above the rest of them. Gunn is one of my favorite directors right now. I have seen Two Nice Guys several times, and it's (in my opinion) the best buddy movie in the last decade.
That said, nope, the second one is not a good movie. Not even considering it as a middle chapter in a trilogy.
Middle chapters use to give the best. The characters already established, and they don't need to set up the final confrontation, it's the part when the creator can give room to his own creativity. The best trilogies peak in the second chapter: Empire Strikes Back is the best Star Wars movie, The Two Towers is the best Lord of the Rings one. When the second chapters fails, that's no good.
It's not a rule written in stone. Die Hard has a weak second chapter and a wonderful third one (for example). But that was the 80s, there were much more freedom. Gunn was free in the first chapter, because everybody thought it wouldn't really succeed. Now... there's too much executive control for somebody like him to shine.
I don't think so. Guardians only have one great movie, the first one. That's far from enough. Guardians 2 made a lot of movie because of how good the first one was.
You have one great movie, a second one that's just regular. And the Thor franchise with all the political agenda injected.
Nope, this is not the next Star Wars.
Best comedians ever
:-(
That already exists. Early prototypes, but it's not sci-fi.

That was a good trick! ^_^
Sometimes. It's a good way to find movies you didn't know about.
