As a believer you have what is called the "burden of proof" of a deity upon you. As evolutionists, we approach it also, using evidence as a detective would try to recreate a crime. It's a "which is more likely"scenario. And each day we find more evidence that evo is likely to have happened, from simian DNA & fossils, all the way to human behavior. "Faith" is defined in Webster's College Dictionary as belief without "proof". It might not provide comfort but it does provide intellectual integrity. Whether you choose integrity over comfort depends on an ever expanding "leap of faith"due to increasing evidence in evo and the acceptance of religion as being obsolete, despite those who choose to remain stubbornly locked in the past. It's better to have a wrong explanation, than none at all. If a billion people believe an absurd thing, it is still absurd.
Sammy,Sammy,Sammy! was the 'leading' man and the nucleus of the atom.
As for the last ending it was the final episode and they wanted to go out differently and quickly. I liked it. Along with Sam's revelation.
I thought no one else noticed it was actually "Unchained Melody". Good catch. I assumed they thought it really was the "correct" song(their naivete) or they couldn't get a copy of it. And if they knew they figured no one else would catch that error. I'm an ex-DJ and noticed it right away(the most popular slow song ever for a long time) it was in "Ghost" so it was brought back into the public eye(ear).I met the gentleman that wrote "Unchained Melody" for his wife at a songwriting seminar.
I'm a Penna. guy too and Cheers is my favorite sitcom of all time. (I don't drink) but the down to earth qualities of it,character differences, while (people are all the same) and great writing makes it simply the best. I run through the 11 seasons on DVD about once a year and it always ends too quickly(and I see things I missed). Thanks for your service.
Cherilynn Fenn.
Kudos. This movie was made by people who can think FOR people who do think. Great dialogue, subject matter needed addressing, intriguing characters,no classic anti-Spotlight member that tries to disable the process and not just CGI driven for those with eyes but no taste. I was absorbed.
Not only based on a contemporary problem, it was a movie that showed the motive behind journalism in the first place.(Mostly) decent people trying to expose child abuse by a supposedly "decent" religious group wearing a mask to hide their horrible crimes. I left religion a long time ago and as a former Catholic I had enough of their charade.
Glad you said it. In a world desecrated by viking, fantasy, low IQ comedy, sensationalized pop-star and super-hero movies it's great to see something that was about morality and doing the right thing.
Excellent quote. Even if I am a bit late.
That was where I laughed out loud---the only time.
I didn't realize that, it sucks. Just like SJWs that patrol out of their jurisdiction. I bought a copy a while back to be sure I can watch it at my leisure. Too old to be a dedicated streamer. And it's what THEY want you to watch.Modern movies stink, for the most part.Start collecting. Good luck.
I noticed that too and then I just thought it was a look-alike. Maybe a contractual thing. Always good to see her.
Victim? She set herself up
When this came out I was disappointed that I couldn't ID the unmasked man. How anti-climactic! I asked many in time and got mixed answers but at least some (now you) reveal it was hard to tell. For months I was pissed at this scene/shot----that should have been crystal clear.
Somewhere around season three or four H.Hunter tried to shoot himself and he said "I love you Mom" before the screen went black---and then you heard a shot. Next episode you see him with a patch on the side of his head from a gun's powder burn. He talks to LaRue and guessed that JD put blanks in his gun when Hunter was in the locker rm shower the night before. Hunter was pissed at JD and JD says "Let me get this straight---you're mad at me for saving your life". Great twist, in my opinion.Chalk up a major point for LaRue---he was generally so sleazy---but a very interesting character.
