He probably felt like he could've done more to prevent what happened to Santiago. What I don't get is, if he felt that much guilt he wanted to kill himself, why not testify first to make things right?
I just assumed they switched off randomizer when they found out about the guy that can confirm the code..
The French Teacher and the Mercenaries is a great band name.
We were looking for something to kill an hour and a half and it did the job. I can't imagine I'll ever watch it again, but it had its moments. Nowhere nearly as bad as I expected.
Him looking is distracting her from achieving an orgasm. At least that's what I understood.
They couldn't have gotten through previous clues, because the Charlotte was the very first clue given by Charles Carroll to Thomas Gates. OP has a good point.

Should've stopped reading here.
I don't understand these "haven't aged well" comments. VFX didn't look good even when the movie came out, let alone now. I still love it and watch it regularly. It's not even a guilty pleasure, because I have no guilt about loving this movie.

Maybe because he gets electrocuted often?
Maybe they need to roll the exact number to stop at Jumanji field? If they roll over they can't stop there?

I am having trouble following this logic. It doesn't destroy them because they are already outside of the books. I'd assume burning the closed book with a creature still inside would destroy it. I am also not quite clear why exactly he would have to open the books to burn them?
When I saw that there is going to be a sequel 20 years later, I was kind of naïve and hoped that they had a plan for this. I thought that for 20 years they were gathering all the best jokes and ideas, so they could give us a worthy sequel.
Boy, was I wrong...
Fanboys maaaybe?
I only wish the soundtrack wasn't so annoying.
I don't have an itch. I am referring to the very people you're talking about.
The twist was that there was no twist in Shyamalan's movie!
